ORDER UNDER SECTION 144 Cr.P.C.

Chandigarh, June 17 th , 2016 : It  has been made to appear to Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, District Magistrate, Chandigarh  that during the visit of Hon’ble Prime Minsiter of India to Chandigarh on 20-21 June, 2016, there are chances of some anti-social elements disturbing peace and creating law & order problem and it may cause obstruction, annoyance or injury to the persons lawfully employed and endanger human life and property, disturb public peace and tranquility and cause riots and affrays. Therfore Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, District Magistrate, Chandigarh, is of the opinion that taking out processions, making speeches, raising slogans, assembly of 5 or more person with lathies, lethal weapons, etc. within 200 meters area around all routes, i.e., main route, alternative route, contingency route & places of function, i.e., Capitol Complex, Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh, parking within 200 feet of the carcade routes would cause obstruction, annoyance or injur...

Clarification to Orders Issued Under the Section 144 Cr. P.C

Chandigarh, 17 th June, 2016: In continuation to the order issued today under the section 144 Cr. PC by Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, District Magistrate, Chandigarh regarding declaration of "NO PARKING ZONE" within 200 meters area around all routes, i.e., main route, alternative route, contingency route & places of function, i.e., Capitol Complex, Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh, and all the parking within 200 feet of the carcade routes are declared as “NO PARKING ZONE” during the visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to Chandigarh on 20-21 June, 2016, it is further clarified that the nearby parking zones like Lake Club, Chandigarh Club etc. will remain open for public during that time. In view of the emergent nature of the order, it is being issued ex-parte and is addressed to the public in general.

MoU signed between Infosys Foundation and Chandigarh Administration

Chandigarh, June 17 th , 2016: A Memorandum of Understanding  is signed between Infosys Foundation and Chandigarh Administration (Zila Sainik Welfare Board,UT, Chandigarh )  to give one time  Rehabilitation Grant of Rs. 5 lac each under CSR Scheme of INFOSYS FOUNDATION to 100 ex-servicemen of Punjab, Haryana  and Chandigarh  who are actually   100 % disabled. This grant is being given for their rehabilitation. With this amount these ex-servicemen can start some small new venture  eg. (a) shop (b) Repair units (c) skill up gradation or training units like computer centre (d) transportation van etc. for generating regular extra source of income. This will improve the quality of life of Ex-serviceman in particular and of his family in general as this money will be used for his livelihood and in turn of his family in a better way. Inspection by Food Safety Officers

Chandigarh, June 17 th , 2016: As per the order of Director Health & Family Welfare, Chandigarh Administration, a joint team of Food Safety Officers Sh. Bharat Kanojia, Sh. Surinder Pal Singh & Sh. Bhaljinder Singh on 17-06-2016 inspected the area of Kajheri & Hallo Majra of Chandigarh, where the meat shops & the Bakery units were inspected. In total four challan were made for not possessing valid food licence and operating in unhygienic & insanitary conditions. Also five bakeries which were operating in very un-hygienic and in-sanitary conditions and were operating without having a FSSAI food licence were sealed. The vendors were also instructed to keep hygiene and quality standards as per Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 in view of coming rainy season.

National Awards of Excellence

Health Camp to be held at Civil Dispensary Ramdarbar

Chandigarh, 16 th June, 2016: Chandigarh Health Department in Collaboration with Gynae. deptt. PGIMER, Max hospital and UCO Bank is going to organize free Health Camp at Civil Dispensary, Ramdarbar on 18 th June 2016(Saturday) from 8.00 AM onwards. This in continuation of previous three Health Camps held at Daddu Majra, Maulijagran and Dhanas.  Doctors from various specialities like Medicine, Gynae., Skin, Eye and ENT will be examining patients and will be providing free consultation.
