Kho-Kho & Kabaddi Tournament (for Boys & Girls U – 17 years) organized by Sports Department

Chandigarh, 17 th July, 2017: Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration is organizing Kho-Kho / Kabaddi Tournament for Boys & Girls U – 17 from 17.07.2017 to 20.07.2017 at Sports Complex, Sector – 42, Chandigarh.                    In kabaddi 15 teams in the boys section and 14 teams in the girls section are participating.  In the kho-kho event 11 teams from boys as well as 11 teams from girls are participating.  Participating teams are representing Schools of urban as well as rural Chandigarh.  Apart from that few clubs are also in the fray for the top honours.  For kho-kho as well as kabaddi events, cash prizes of Rs. 1500/- per head for winning team, Rs. 1000/- per head for runner up team and Rs. 750/- per head for 3rd position team have been earmarked.                   ...

Flag Off of Kalam Express

Chandigarh, 13 th July, 2017: “Kalam Express” is an initiative of the Indian Red Cross Society, U.T., Branch, Chandigarh that aims to promote, develop and maintain the skills essential for children with special needs so that they can better perform in their homes and social setting. This is a mobile Educational cum Rehabilitation unit for Children with Special Needs living in slum, rural and rehabilitation colonies of the city, who cannot commute to schools for attaining education and also require different therapies because of their physical limitations. Indian Red Cross Society, U.T. Branch, Chandigarh had launched its first mobile unit of Kalam Express on 23 rd June 2016 with support of State Bank of India under CSR.  This effort of Red Cross Society is to provide services to those CWSN who cannot afford it or are confined to their homes, and there is need to include them in the mainstream society. Demand Survey for Car Parking In Place Of Cycle Sheds In Sector-40c, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 13 th  July, 2017: On persistent demand from the residents of EWS/LIG houses of Sector-40-C, and in  the interest of public service for Construction of Car parking in place of existing 288 cycle sheds ( Out of which a majority are lying vacant) in Sector-40C,Chandigarh, the Board had decided to conduct a demand survey. Therefore, all the residents of EWS/LIG Housing Scheme, Sector-40C were requested to submit their requests in the prescribed proforma/application along with 'Registration Money' of Rs.10,000/- on or before 14.7.2017.           As per request of the residents, the last date of submission of request in prescribed proforma/application along with Registration Money is extended up to 31.8.2017 and Registration Money  is reduced to Rs.5,000/-. Chandigarh, 12 th July 2017: It is for the information to the general public/residents of Chandigarh that the registration for participating in e-auction of vehicle registration numbers of new series " CH01-BN " for special/choice registration numbers 0001 to 9999 will start from 18.07.2017 (10:00 AM) and will continue till 24.07.2017 (05:00 PM) and the         e-auction will start on 25.07.2017 (10:00 AM) and will continue till 27.07.2017 (05:00PM). Chandigarh, 11 th   July, 2017: State Level Celebration of World Population Day 2017 was held at Auditorium of District Family Welfare Bureau, Sector 22   with the theme of   “Nayi Lehar, Naya Vishwas, Sampoorn Zimmedari se Parivar Vikas”   under the Leadership of Dr. Rakesh Kashyap, Director Health & Family Welfare cum Mission Director, National Health mission, Chandigarh.
