Govt. Model High School,-II, Maloya, Chandigarh made operational now

Chandigarh, 5th August 2019. The newly constructed Government Model High School-II, Maloya, Chandigarh became operational from today i.e. 5.8.2019 in the presence of   Sh. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, Director School Education, Chandigarh Administration,    Mrs. Anujit Kaur, District Education Officer, U.T., Chandigarh and   Mr. I.S. Gulati, XEN, CP Div No.1, Engineering Department, U.T., Chandigarh.    The students from Classes 1 st   to 10 th attended the School and the current enrolment of the school is 263.   Seventeen teachers from Govt. High School, Colony No.4, Chandigarh have been transferred to this school and 10 newly recruited teachers under Samagra Shiksha have also been posted in this school.   Moreover 12 Group ‘D’ employees have also been shifted from Govt. High School, Colony No.4, Chandigarh.   The admission process has already been started and registration is still going on in the school.

Left Out cases for Class XI Admissions to fill the application form August 06, 2019.Chandigarh :   The students who’ve not been able to get admission in Class XI in any of the three counselings held earlier are required to fill in a fresh application form. The form would be made available on the website of the Department on 7 th and 8 th August, 2019. . The form would be downloaded by the students, duly filled and submitted in one of the six designated schools from 9 am to 1 pm on 7 th and 8 th August, 2019. The list of schools is as under: 1.      GMSSS-10, Chandigarh 2.      GGMSSS-18, Chandigarh 3.      GMSSS-35, Chandigarh 4.      GMSSS-40, Chandigarh 5.      GMSSS-MHC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh 6.      GMSSS, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh The details of the admission would be notified later on.

Anti Encroachment Drive continues in Sector 22- More Illegal Vendors removed

Anti Encroachment Drive continues in Sector 22- More Illegal Vendors removed Chandigarh, 2nd August 2019: The anti encroachment drive was continued in Sector 22 Shastri Market and surrounding areas wherein the illegal vendors ( without any license) were removed. Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Smt. Nilambari Jagadale, SSP were also present at site today to reviewed the drive . Further, action will  be taken against Shopkeepers of the Shastri Market for encroaching upon common spaces and walls. The drive will continue till all the illegal vendors are removed from the site. Only the vendors with license will be allowed to sit at their earmarked sites, whereas others will be challaned. Till now, 49 challans have been issued and goods were seized.

Director Census, Operations and Citizen Registration, Chandigarh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh reviews preparations  at District level of Pre test for conducting 2021 -Census Chandigarh, 2nd August 2019: A meeting to review the preparations  at District level of Pre test for conducting 2021 -Census and updation was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. Abhishek Jain, IAS, Director Census, Operations and Citizen Registration, Chandigarh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh in the presence of Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner Chandigarh. It was discussed thay a pretest of census of 2021 will be held from 12.08.2019 to 30.09.2019 in Manimajra (19 enumerations blocks), Kaimbwala (10 enumerations blocks) for the purpose of pre-rehearsal of census. The enumerators will be given a three days training starting 6th August in this regard. Chief Electoral Officer holds meeting regarding the Special Summary Revision (intensive) of the Photo Electoral Rolls   2 August 2019. Chandigarh : A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Chief Electoral Officer- cum- Finance Secretary, Chandigarh with the representatives of Political Parties regarding the Special Summary Revision (intensive) of the Photo Electoral Rolls. It was emphasized that the special summary revision will begin with the improvement in health of Electoral roll from 1st August 2019 to 31st August 2019 wherein removal of logical errors will be done. An Electors Verification Programme (EVP) will be run to encourage citizens to authenticate existing elector details by giving a copy of any of the mentioned documents like Indian Passport, Dirivng License, Aadhar, Ration Card or any other document approved by the Commission.
