Advisor to UT Administrator inaugurates Fitness Centre at UT Guest House for in house guests

Chandigarh, 26 th February 2020:The Advisor to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh Sh. Manoj Parida today inaugurated a fitness centre here at second floor of the UT Guest House. The fitness centre is spread across 2500 sq. feet area and is open to the in house guests. It is equipped with the state of the art paraphernalia such as Treadmill, Multi Station Gym, Elliptical Cross Trainer, Recumbent Bike Aerofit, Recumbent Bike Avon, Dumbell 2.5 Kg and 05 Kg, Hexagon Dumbell 10 Kg, Dumbell Rack, Flat Bench, Abdominal Decline Bench, Skipping Rope, Yoga Mat and Gym Ball. The centre would be open from 6 am - 10 am and 5 pm - 9 pm and has One Trainer, One Attendant. Besides, the yoga classes are also available.

Administrator presides over review meeting with officials of all departments

Chandigarh, 26th February 2020:The Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Mr. V. P. Singh Badnore today presided over a meeting of all the departments of the UT Administration here at the UT Secretariat and reviewed the progress being made with regard to various issues. The Administrator expressed concern on loss of 3 lives in the recent fire incident in Sector 32   and also directed that   fire clearance should be mandatory   for PG accommodation and also police will ensure regular inspections of the same. On the issue of power tarriff, the Administrator directed the Advisor to take feedback and forward objection/suggestions of the same to the Administrator ,so that policy decisions can be taken speedily in the matter. NetProFaN   workshop organized by the Department of Food Safety and Standards

Chandigarh.26th Chandigarh,2020: The Chandigarh Chapter of NetProFaN has been launched in a workshop organized by the Department of Food Safety and Standards, at GMSH-16, Chandigarh under the Chairmanship of the Director Health & Family Welfare, U.T. Chandigarh.26th February, 2020: The Department of Art & Culture has revised the operational hours of Auditorium and Exhibition Hall at the Government Museum and Art Gallery,Chandigarh. The Auditorium can now be booked for any of the three slots: 10 am to 1pm,   2 pm to 5 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm. The timings of Exhibition Hall have also been revised from 10am-5pm to 11 am - 8 pm. The extended hours will benefit the residents of the city.

Deputy Commissioner orders crackdown on illegally operational paying guest (PG) accommodations

Chandigarh, 24th February 2020: With a view to crackdown on the illegally operational paying guest (PG) accommodations in the city, the Deputy Commissioner Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, today presided over a meeting with all the SDMs and other concerned officials of the UT Administration. The Deputy Commissioner directed the SDM's to constitute teams for carrying out the inspections in their respective areas. These teams would comprise of representative from different relevant departments. The SDMs will ensure immediate action in accordance with law on detection of illegal paying guest facilities.
