The Administrator Reviews Law and Order Situation in the City

Chandigarh, 21st September 2017:  The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore presided over a meeting to review the law and order situation in the City at U.T. Secretariat today. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. J.M Balamurgan, IAS, Secretary to the Governor of Punjab, Sh.   Tajender   Singh Luthra, IPS, Director General of Police, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary, Sh. O.P Mishra, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Smt. Jagdale Nilambari Vijay, IPS, SSP, Sh. Shashank Anand, IPS, SSP Traffic, Sh. Eish Singhal, IPS, SP Chandigarh were present during the meeting. Wildlife Week, 2017

Chandigarh, 21 st Sept, 2017:   In the series of Celebration of  “ Wildlife Week, 2017”,  the Department of Forests & Wildlife, Chandigarh Administration is organizing following events to sensitize the masses for the protection and conservation of wildlife and its habitat :- Date/Time Programme 02 nd Oct, 2017              at 7.00 AM Nature/ Wildlife Week Trek  (Nepli to Kansal Loghut) in Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary         The “Nature and Wildlife Trek” inside Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary will be arranged by Department of Forests & Wildlife at 7.00 AM i.e. as per Calendar of Trekking available on website. 3rd State Task Force meeting

Chandigarh, 20 th  Sep, 2017:   Measles Rubella Campaign in UT Chandigarh has achieved the target of 92 % after immunizing 2,84,735 children in the age group of 9 months to 15 years. The MR Vaccination is being carried out in government and private schools .Also the outreach sessions are being conducted in Aanganwadi centres and all health facilities of Chandigarh. In 6 major hospitals i.e. PGIMER-12, GMCH-32, GMSH-16, CH-22, CH-45 and CH- Manimajra the MR vaccination is carried out daily and in rest of the health facilities MR vaccination is twice week i.e. Wednesday and Saturday. Under this scheme, the case of an applicant is processed on priority basis. The general public has given a good response to this facility. Declaration of Public Holiday

Chandigarh, 19 th  Sep, 2017:   In partial modification of Administration’s Notification regarding declaring of Public Holidays in the Union Territory of Chandigarh during the calendar year 2017, the 30 th September, 2017 (Saturday) will now be observed as Public Holiday in all the Government Officers/Boards/ Corporations/Institutions including Industrial Establishments under the Chandigarh Administrations on account of Dussehra instead of Restricted Holiday and also within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881. 

New Citizens’ Charter

Chandigarh, 19 th September, 2017: The Chandigarh Housing Board has approved the New Citizens’ Charter vide Agenda item no. 402.5.1. During the process of implementation of the provisions of the New Citizens’ Charter, it has come to notice that there are provisions for giving public notice for inviting objections in the cases applied for transfer under the Consensual/Blood Relation/Addition or Deletion of the spouse name Transfer Policy and for mutation of property on the basis of Sale deed/transfer deed/gift deed etc. However, as per past practice, the Chandigarh Housing Board is not releasing public notice in such cases.                    All the concerned and interested persons, who have reasonable claim(s) against the property and to avoid any sort of fraudulent transfers, it has been decided that public notice shall be given in all such cases, as per the provisions of the New Citizens’ ...
