Affixation of High Security Registration Plates

Chandigarh, 11 th April 2018: It is for the information of general public/residents of Chandigarh that the Registering and Licensing Authority, U.T., Chandigarh has started the process for affixation of High Security Registration Plates on old vehicles already registered and are registering in UT, Chandigarh. The series CH01-BN, CH01-BP and CH01-BQ have already been carried out for affixation of HSRPs. The owners of the vehicle of said series are given last opportunity for getting their vehicles affixed with HSRP upto 30.04.2018 otherwise the Traffic Police, UT, Chandigarh can challan the vehicles. Moreover, the process for affixation of HSRP on current running series i.e. CH01-BR is being carried out till further orders. Meeting held to discuss issues related to Welfare of animals in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 10th April 2018 : Sh. Mohan Singh Ahluwalia Hon’ble member of Animal Welfare Board of India held a meeting with senior officials of U.T. Administration at U.T., Guest House today.  Sh.  Rajiv Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, Capt. Karnail Singh, Director Animal Husbandry, Chandigarh were present among other officials from various departments.  The members discussed various issues related to Welfare of animals in Chandigarh.  He was satisfied with the work of SPCA, Chandigarh and desired that some more modernization of existing Infrastructure & more space for SPCA Shelter is required.  He also stressed that Health Department may work together with other related departments for stopping sale & manufacturing of spurious Milk in Chandigarh.  He also directed that Police Department may give training to its officials for strict implementation of PCA Act, 1960

Change in OPD Timings

Chandigarh, 10 th April 2018 : The OPD timings of Govt. Multi- Speciality Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh and its allied dispensaries including AYUSH Dispensaries, Civil Hospital Manimajra, Civil Hospital Sector 22, Chandigarh and Civil Hospital Sector 45 Chandigarh except ESI-29 & ESI- 23, U.T Sectt., Punjab & Haryana Sectt. High Court Dispensaries will be as under 16 th April, 2018 to 15 th October 2018 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM The timings of ESI-29 & ESI- 23, U.T Sectt., Punjab & Haryana Sectt. High Court Dispensaries will remain as before.

Online Appointment System

Chandigarh, 10 th April 2018 : It is for the information to the general public/residents of Chandigarh that totally online appointment system will run in the main office of Registering & Licensing Authority, Sector 17 Chandigarh from 16 th April 2018 for submission of the files/ documents for different services of registration of vehicles and issuance of driving license. The applicant can get online appointment by login to the official website i.e. www.chdtransport.gov.in or through Chandigarh Helpline Number (1860-180-2067) or at the main R&LA office, sector 17 Chandigarh.

Self Certification Scheme

Chandigarh, 10 th April 2018 : As part of Chandigarh Administration’s initiative of facilitating Ease of Doing Business in the City, Self Certification of Building Plans of commercial buildings by private architects has been made compulsory and the same is being extended to residential and industrial buildings upto 2 kanal category shortly. In order to sensitize the private practicing architects in the city, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Architect, Department of Urban Planning, UT, today.   The meeting was attended by large number of prominent private architects as well as Officers of the Department of Urban Planning.         In the meeting, the important aspects and highlights of the Self Certification Scheme were explained in detail to the architect fraternity and all their doubts and apprehensions addressed. Self Certification of the Building Plans

Chandigarh, 9 th , April 2018 : The Chandigarh Administration has recently mandated the Self Certification of the Building Plans by private practicing architects in respect of commercial buildings in the city. Further, the process of extending the above facility in case of residential and industrial buildings upto two canal category is also at an advanced stage and likely to be notified shortly. This move shall facilitate Ease of Doing Business initiative of the Government of India in the city and also put the plan sanctioning procedure on the fast track. In order to acclimatize the private practicing architects in the city on this issue, the Department of Urban Planning, Chandigarh Administration shall be holding a meeting with them alongwith other stakeholders on 10/04/2018 at 12 noon in the UT Secretariat and share all the information with them. All private practicing architects shall be updated of the process of Self Certification alongwith relevant information.

Inauguration of Sports Complex

U.T. Administration to promote Football in a big way – Administrator

Chandigarh, 6 th  April, 2018:   With an aim to promote Football among the youngsters of City Beautiful in particular and Northern Region in general, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of His Excellency, The Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh-cum-The Governor of Punjab, where Senior Officers of U.T.
