Stakeholders Consultation Meeting for promoting Rooftop Solar Power System in UT Chandigarh

29 th  August, 2019.Chandigarh .  A Stakeholders Consultation Meeting was held today on  under the Chairmanship of Shri Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Home Secretary-cum-Principal Secretary (Science & Technology & Renewable Energy), UT Chandigarh for popularizing Rooftop Solar Power in Chandigarh. 28August2019.Chandigarh.POSHAN Abhiyaan “PM’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nourishment”, formally launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan on 08th March 2018.  Hon’ble Prime Minster has desired that the Mission should be converted into a JAN ANDOLAN for effective implementation and desired reach. CHB appointed HDFC Bank as Principal Bank for better services to its allottees

Chandigarh, 28 th    August 2019: The Chandigarh Housing Board has appointed HDFC Bank Ltd., as its Principal Bank to provide better services to its allottees. Chief Electoral Officer holds meeting regarding Implementation of Electors Verification Program (EVP) under SVEEP PLAN

 28 August 2019. Chandigarh : A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Chief Electoral Officer- cum- Finance Secretary, Chandigarh, today with  the officials of Department of Education, Department of Technical Education, Punjab University, Punjab Engineering College and all the Colleges of Chandigarh regarding the  Implementation of Electors Verification Program (EVP) under SVEEP plan. It was emphasized that the  Electors Verification Program (EVP)  will be launched from 1st September, 2019 to 30 September, 2019. This Programme (EVP) will be run to encourage citizens to come forward to authenticate existing elector details by giving a copy of any of the mentioned documents like Indian Passport, Driving License, Aadhar, Ration Card or any other document approved by the Commission. Draw of Small Flat Scheme

Chandigarh, 27th August 2019:A computerized draw for allotment of specific dwelling units was held in the premise of the Chandigarh Housing Board today for 43 persons who were declared eligible by the Estate Office. 1. 32 persons were allotted flats at Maloya-I. 2. 09 persons were allotted flats at Dhanas 3. 01 person was allotted flat at Ram Darbar Colony 4. 01 person was allotted flat at Sector 38(West) They will be issued allotment letters within this week and thereafter physical possession of the flats will be handed over on completion of required formalities.

Un-authorized constructions in Modern Housing Complex, Manimajra demolished by Chandigarh Housing Board

Chandigarh, 26th August 2019: Chandigarh Housing Board has demolished four fresh un-authorized constructions in Modern Housing Complex, Manimajra. So far the Enforcement Squad of the Chandigarh Housing Board has demolished 27 fresh un-authorized Constructions/Alterations and many more to be demolished in next few days. In many cases, allottees have themselves removed the violations.  CHB has also issued demand notices to the allottees where the demolitions were carried out in last few days to recover cost of demolitions ranging from Rs 4000/- to Rs. 42,000/- approximately per unit.  All the allotttess are again requested not to undertake any fresh violations otherwise the same is liable to be demolished on their risk and cost. Since these violations may lead to structure safety issues not only for the dwelling units but also for the particular unit and also for the adjoining unit also, the CHB is adopting zero tolerance policy.

State Mourning will be observed on 26.08.2019 as a respect to Sh. Arun Jaitley, Former Union Minister of Finance

Chandigarh, 25th August 2019: As a mark of respect to Sh. Arun Jaitley, Former  Union  Minister of Finance, one day State Mourning will be observed throughout the Union Territory on 26th August 2019, and the National Flag will be flown at half mast throughout the Union Territory, Chandigarh where it is flown regularly. In continuation to the same, there will be no official entertainment under Chandigarh Administration.

Chandigarh, 22nd  August 2019: The Administrator, Union Territory Chandigarh has constitute a committee to look into the menace of inter-state smuggling of liquor. A meeting of the Committee was held today with the Advisor to the Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh to discuss and deliberate on the issues relating to Inter- State Smuggling of liquor.Sh. Cancellation of Small Flats due to Non-Payment of monthly rent

Chandigarh, 22nd  August 2019: During the month of June, 10 days special camps for collection of outstanding rent from Small Flats were organized by the Chandigarh Housing Board at 07 locations namely Dhanas, Ramdarbar, Maulijagran, Sector-38, West Sector-49, Sector-56 and at  Industrial Area Phase-I. Further 03 days mini-camps were organized at these locations during the month of July. Special Counters have also been provided in these locations to collect monthly rents. These efforts resulted into recovery of about Rs. 10 crores during the last three months but rent amount more than Rs. 20 crores are yet to be recovered from the allottees of the Small Flats. Here it is mentioned that monthly rent of the small flats is Rs. 800/- for first five years and the same is increased by 20% after every five years. Hence the monthly rent is highly subsidized and the allottees should have cleared their dues to avoid the actions like cancellation and eviction etc. The Chandigar...
