Chandigarh POSHAN Mahotsav- Administrator honors officials with State Awards, Launched Anaemia Free Chandigarh Campaign and Poshan Toll Free Number

Chandigarh 6 th  September, 2019:  The Department of Social Welfare Women and Child Development has always shown a great zeal when it comes about serving the society. To make it a milestone a State level function Chandigarh POSHAN Mahotsav was organized by Department of Social Welfare in Convergence with Line Department at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. Hon’ble Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore, Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh and Governor of Punjab were the Chief Guest and Sh. Manoj Kumar Parida, Adviser to the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, 5 th  September 2019:  The Education Department Chandigarh celebrated Teacher’s Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan at Tagore Theatre today. Sh. 2 September 2019, Chandigarh: “POSHAN Maah” has already embarked with full enthusiasm in UT Chandigarh. 2nd Day of POSHAN Maah was celebrated with full devotion and spirit with celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. Annaprashan Diwas celebrated under POSHAN Maah

1 September,2019.“POSHAN Abhiyaan”  was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi ji  at Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan on the occasion of the International Women’s Day on March 8, 2018. Electors Verification Programme launched in Chandigarh

1 September 2019,   Chandigarh. The Electors Verification Programme (EVP) launched by the Finance Secretary-cum- Chief Electoral Officer, UT Chandigarh Sh.Ajoy Kumar Sinha at GMSSS-26,today. The Election Department will organize the programme  till 15th October, 2019. Sh.Ajoy Kumar Sinha,CEO, UT Chandigarh encouraged citizens to come forward to authenticate existing elector details by giving a copy of any of the documents such as passport, driving licence, Aadhaar Card , ration card or any other document approved by the commission.  He also divulged that the people can also verify their electoral roll details through voter helpline number 1950, mobile app, NVSP portal, by visiting common service centre or by submitting a hard copy of forms through BLOs. Adviser holds State Level Meeting of Road Safety Council

Demolition of fresh un-authorized Constructions/Alterations)

Chandigarh, 30th August 2019: The Chandigarh Housing Board demolished four fresh un-authorized constructions in Dadumajra Colony today. During the demolition drive, the occupants of House no. 2672 tried to obstruct the CHB staff while demolishing the unauthorized construction of the house. Based on a complaint lodged by the Chandigarh Housing Board, the Police removed them and the demolition drive was carried out by the Enforcement Team of the CHB. All the allotttess are again requested not to undertake any fresh violations otherwise the same is liable to be demolished on their risk and cost. Since these violations may lead to structure safety issues not only for the dwelling units but also for the particular unit and also for the adjoining unit also, the CHB is adopting zero tolerance policy.
