Chandigarh 6 th  January 2018:  Indian Red Cross Society, U.T. Branch, Chandigarh is running a Raen Basera (Night Shelter) near Local Bus Stand Complex in Sector 17, Chandigarh with the capacity of 105 beds. Keeping in view of the extreme chilled weather conditions, it has been decided that the homeless/needy poor people like beggars, rickshaw pullers, pavement dwellers etc. will be given shelter in the Raen Basera, Sector 17, Chandigarh free of cost. The Hall No.5 and 6 of Raen Basera, Sector 17, Chandigarh has been kept reserved and will be available exclusively for homeless/needy poor people during winter season.

Chandigarh 6 th  January 2018:  Estate Office has introduced an online appointment platform for dealing the cases of Transfer on the basis of Sale Deed, Transfer Deed, Gift Deed, Lease Deed and Permission to Mortgage after seeking online appointment.  The transfer letters and other permissions shall be issued to the applicant on the due date of his appointment.  This facility of online appointment can be availed through all the Sampark Kendras.  Facility of Tatkal service has also been started.  After seeking online appointment, the permission shall be issued on the same day.  Tatkal fee of Rs.10,000/- shall be charged for the same.  These cases shall be free from all encumbrances like court cases, clearance of dues of government etc.  Only 5 cases shall be taken in Tatkal service initially.
