Adviser Holds Road Safety Council Meeting

Chandigarh, 29th January 2020: A meeting of the Road Safety Council was held today under the chairmanship of Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator at UT Secretariat to discuss the road safety measures for the City. Sh. Shashank Anand, SSP Traffic highlighted various aspects like road crash trends in the city, issues pertaining to the safety of cyclists and pedestrians, elimination of dark spots, menace of beggars at traffic intersections etc. It was also brought forth that the driver speed feedback LED sign boards have been installed at six road crashes prone locations to enhance self awareness of the drivers and no fatal road crashes were recorded at these locations so far. Administrator Felicitates Winners of Khelo India Games 2020- Chandigarh Bags first position amongst UT’s with 6 Gold, 2 Silver and 9 Bronze Medals

Chandigarh, 29th January 2020: Sh. V P Singh Badnore, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh felicitated the winners of Khelo India Games 2020 today at UT Secretariat in the presence of Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator and other senior officials of Chandigarh Administration.   The Khelo India games were held at Guwahati from 9th to 22nd Jan 2020 and were organized by Khelo India, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. Chandigarh has bagged first rank amongst Union Territories and has got overall 16th rank in medal tally. The quarter finalist players/teams and medal winners of their respective sport, i.e. the total of contingent of 198 players attended the Khelo India Games. Chandigarh, 28th January 2019: A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Dr Bhagwan Lal Sahni, Chairman National Commission for Backward Classes, in the presence of Sh. Launch of ‘Online Bus Reservation Management System”, “CTU Musafir Mobile App” and “CTU Conductor Mobile App”

Chandigarh.27th January,2020: The ‘Online Bus Reservation Monitoring System (OBRMS)’, ‘CTU Musafir App’ and ‘CTU Conductor App’ of Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU), Chandigarh Administration launched by Dr Ajay Kumar Singla, IAS, Secretary Transport, UT Chandigarh,today.   Chandigarh Transport Undertaking is operating 167 Inter-State buses on 51 routes in adjoining states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and National Capital Region of Delhi.   To start with OBRMS has been launched for long route buses. CTU has recently procured 79 Nos. new HVAC buses and CTU charges only 20% extra of ordinary fare in these buses. The tickets can be booked at web portal http://ctuonline.chd.gov.in and through “CTU Musafir Mobile App”. 71st Republic Day Celebrations

Chandigarh, 26 January, 2020: The Chandigarh Administration celebrated the 71st Republic Day in the Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh with full enthusiasm and thrill. Colorful Bonanza organized on the eve of Republic Day

State Level function on  10th National Voters’ Day

Chandigarh, 25th January 2020: Election Department, U.T., Chandigarh celebrated the State Level function on   10th National Voters’ Day today at Post Graduate Govt. Celebration of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Week 20th-26th January, 2020 to celebrate National Girl Child Day (24th January 2020)

Chandigarh.24 th January,2020: A State Level Function was organized at Tagore Theatre to celebrate the National Girl Child Day, as a part of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ week in Chandigarh. Chief guest for the occasion was Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh Sh. VP Singh Badnore. The function was also attended by Advisor to the Administrator Sh. Manoj Parida and Home Secretary Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta. The function was organized in convergence with Department of Social Welfare, Department of Health and Department of Education.
