Chandigarh, 29th January 2020: A meeting of the Road Safety Council was held today under the chairmanship of Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator at UT Secretariat to discuss the road safety measures for the City. Sh. Shashank Anand, SSP Traffic highlighted various aspects like road crash trends in the city, issues pertaining to the safety of cyclists and pedestrians, elimination of dark spots, menace of beggars at traffic intersections etc. It was also brought forth that the driver speed feedback LED sign boards have been installed at six road crashes prone locations to enhance self awareness of the drivers and no fatal road crashes were recorded at these locations so far.
