Changes in CHB Allotted houses

Chandigarh, 5 th August, 2016: The allottees of HIG Cat-II flats in Sector 45-A, Chandigarh were allowed to  use the roof of the parking space at the first floor level as terrace by converting the window abutting this terrace into a  door and  to  provide 3’- 0” high M.S. railing only vide CHB’s order dated 18.05.2001.  However, coverage of this terrace was not allowed. The same benefit was retained vide subsequent orders dated 23.03.2010 and 07.07.2015 under Clause-D4.  The said orders dated 23.03.2010 and 07.07.2015 were superseded vide the present applicable order no. 42 dated 18.02.2016, wherein the benefit has not been allowed under any clause.                        The allottees of HIG, Cat-I(GF) DUs, Sector 45-A have approached CHB for continuation of the benefit to HIG, Cat-II(GF) DUs and also the extension of the same to HIG, Cat-I (GF)...

Plans for Approval of Need Based Changes

Chandigarh, 5 th August, 2016: It is hereby informed that the plans for approval of need based changes submitted by the allottees prior/upto 31.12.2015 considered by the PAC (Lower) as per need based changes order dated 23.03.2010/07.07.2015 will be approved subject to the following conditions:- 1.    The additional area approved in the plans will be chargeable @Rs.200/- (Rs. two hundred only) per Sq.ft. with minimum of Rs.20,000/- 2. The above fee is payable before issuance of approved plans.

Self undertaking/self declaration for genuineness/correctness of address proof/age proof certificate

Chandigarh, 4 August, 2016: It is for the information of the general public/residents/citizens of Chandigarh that henceforth, the office of Registering & Licensing Authority, U.T. Chandigarh shall consider the self undertaking/self declaration instead of an affidavit in the case of genuineness/correctness of address proof/age proof certificate only. However, the applicant will be responsible for giving any type of false information about the residence proof/age proof in the same or genuineness of the certification. 

Chandigarh launches Aadhaar Linked Birth Registration (ALBR)

Chandigarh, 3 rd August, 2016: Aadhaar  Linked Birth Registration(ALBR) was launched in Chandigarh  today by Hon’ble Governor of Haryana and Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki at a function organised in Haryana Raj Bhawan.With this, Chandigarh has become first Union Territory to launch Aadhaar Link Birth Registration and second amongst all States/UT’s after Haryana.  Adviser to the Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh, Deputy Director General, UIDAI, Home Secretary, Special Secretary Finance, Director Information Technology, , Director - PGIMER, Director Health Services, Director Principal, GMCH-32, Chandigarh and other officers of the Administration and UIDAI were present during the inauguration.  With the launch of ALBR, Chandigarh is now eyeing to attain 100% Aadhaar saturation in coming months.At present, Aadhaar saturation in Chandigarh is 97.1% with the UT ranked 6 th in the country in terms of %age Aadhaar saturation. ...

Shifting of Gate Dwelling Units

Chandigarh, 2 nd August, 2016:   Chandigarh Housing Board has allowed shifting of gate from the side boundary wall, wherever provided, to the front boundary wall of the front courtyard of their respective dwelling units subject to the following conditions:- 1.      The boundary wall will be constructed after removing the side gate. 2.      The road berm in front of the plot will have to be in form of a sloping ramp without any steps for approach, toe wall, grill etc.,  so that there is no hindrance to the pedestrian/wheel chair movement on the road berms. 3.      Although no approval from CHB is required for the same, however, a fee of Rs. 5000/- per dwelling unit will be chargeable from the allottee for availing the benefit of shifting the gate to the front boundary wall. Chandigarh, 2 nd August, 2016:   In Pursuance of Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, New Delhi’s Letter No. 11020/04/2015-AI-III, dated 25.05.2016, the Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh is pleased to relieve Dr. Adapa Karthik, IAS (PB:2008), Secretary Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Chandigarh Administration from the Chandigarh Administration w.e.f. 31.07.2016 (Afternoon) to enable him to proceed for study leave from 1 st August 2016 to 15 th July 2018 to pursue Master of Public Health (MPH) in Gillings school of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chape Hill (UNC-CH), North Carolina State,  United States of America . Dr. Adapa Karthik, IAS, shall be repatriated to his parent State of Punjab in absentia on receipt of approval from the competent authority in Government of India. 

Glazing in the Balconies/Verandahs of Dwelling Units

Chandigarh, 2 nd August, 2016:   A large number of dwelling units of General Housing Schemes, Employees Schemes,  Other Special Category Schemes etc. have been allotted by CHB, wherein balconies/verandahs have been provided.            Chandigarh Housing Board, vide order dated 18.05.2001, had allowed  provision of openable/fixed glazing in the balconies/verandahs provided it does not damage the structural stability of the dwelling unit and light & ventilation to corresponding rooms is not affected.  The benefit was not included in the order dated 23.03.2010, which was in supercession of the earlier order dated 18.05.2001.               The allottees, who had provided glazing in the balconies/verandahs of their dwelling units prior to order dated 23.03.2010, have been approaching CHB for regularizing the glazing of balconies/verandahs. ...

Department of Animal Husbandry & Fisheries goes Digital

Chandigarh, 2 nd August, 2016:   In accordance with the policy of Chandigarh Administration to computerize all the records, the Department of Animal Husbandry & Fisheries has taken the initiative to develop software web based application of Animal Husbandry Department of its own kind and developed for Department of Animal Husbandry first time in India.
