Pulse Polio Campaign- Do Boond Zindagi Ki

Chandigarh, 30 th   January, 2018 : 107755 children got immunized during the three day National Immunization Day round Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ in Chandigarh from 28th –  30th January, 2018  to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 years with Oral Polio Drops are successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. Special emphasis was laid upon the high risk/vulnerable areas. Houses will be covered in coming days to track the unimmunized children. The monitoring & supervision was done at various levels by the internal supervisors & external monitors. Chandigarh, 30 th January 2017: It has been made to appear to Ajit Balaji Joshi, I.A.S., District Magistrate, Chandigarh that the practice of playing loudspeakers during night hours (10:00 P.M. to 06:00 A.M.) is widely prevalent in the U.T., Chandigarh, which is causing annoyance and disturbing the public peace and tranquility. And whereas, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, I.A.S., District Magistrate, U.T., Chandigarh is of the opinion that in public interest, such practice should not be carried on and therefore, order, that playing of any kind of music/sounds originating from any kind of instrument/appliance/apparatus capable of producing or re-producing sound shall be banned between 10:00 P.M. to 06:00 A.M. in the Union Territory, Chandigarh, for a period of 60 days. This order shall come into force with effect from zero hours on 31.01.2018 and shall be effective for a period of sixty days up to and including 31.03.2018.
