Main decisions by Board of Directors of Chandigarh Housing Board

The Board in its 421st meeting held today on 06.08.2020, after detailed deliberations, has taken following decisions: 1.The Paying Guest Policy of the Chandigarh Administration is to be made applicable for the Independent Houses of CHB of the same category. However before its implementation, approval of the UT Administration will be obtained.   2.The proposed General Self Financing Housing Scheme in Sector-53, Chandigarh needs to be reworked. The matter to be again taken up with the UT Administration for increase in the Density and Floor Area Ratio (FAR) so that more flats with better specifications can be constructed. Thereafter the revised scheme may be brought before the Board for consideration.   3.For independent houses of the CHB, standard drawings will be got approved from the Chief Architect of UT Administration. Lucky Winners of “Vrikshabandhan” felicitated by Forest Department

Chandigarh: 6th August, 2020: Department of Forests and Wildlife, Chandigarh has announced the winners of Vrikshabandhan Lucky Draw held on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. Vrikshabandhan was a campaign in which more than 1000 participants tied Rakhi on the trees and took the pledge to conserve the nature. “Vrikshabandhan” was organized as a part of the ongoing Van Mahotsava campaign, underlining the department’s purpose to “Save Trees”.   The campaign saw a great number of participants who sent in their images for a chance to get them, space in the Department’s newsletter “The Jungle Book” and Mrs. Seema Rani, Principal, Government Model Senior Secondary School in Dhanas, Chandigarh, Prof. Binu Dogra, Principal, Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector- 42, Chandigarh, Dr.Ranjana Sharma, Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector- 42 Chandigarh & Sh. All Departments to implement DigiLocker: Chandigarh Administration issues orders

The Chandigarh, August 5, 2020: With an aim to benefit citizens and to reduce requirement of seeking physical documents from citizens for availing various public services, the Adviser to the Administrator has issued orders asking all departments and boards and corporation under Chandigarh Administration to adopt and implement DigiLocker platform. All departments shall be issuing certificates to the citizens through DigiLocker. Departments have also been asked to the accept digital documents issued by other government entities through DigiLocker.   With the issuance of the order, documents issued on the DigiLocker platform shall be treated as at par with physical copies and accepted by all. This in line with the provisions of IT ACT 2000 and further rules issued by Ministry of Electronics and IT in 2016 and 2017 regarding Digital Locker. Celebrate ‘Vrikshabandhan’ at Sukhna Lake and Botanical Garden, Sarangpur

Chandigarh. 31 July, 2020: On the Occasion of Rakshabandhan, the Department of Forests & Wildlife, UT Chandigarh has initiated a unique way to celebrate Rakshabandhan. As part of this program, preparations are being made to tie a Rakhi (defense thread) to green trees and plants. During the celebrations, nature lovers of Chandigarh are invited at Sukhna Lake and Botanical Garden to celebrate Vrikshabandhan, wherein people can tie Rakhi to any of the trees to show their love for the nature. A specially designed stall shall be installed on August 3rd to guide the public. A pledge shall also be taken on this day by the public wherein the participant shall sign the pledge and put it in a box placed at the stall. While talking about the initiative Sh.
