Celebrations of Kala Utsav

Chandigarh, November 20, 2017: Kala Utsav is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), to promote arts in education which plays a major role in creating awareness towards India’s rich cultural heritage and its vibrant diversity. The four days long extravaganza from 20th to 23rd November, 2017 was inaugurated at Govt. Model Senior Sec School -10A by Sh. Bansi Lal Sharma, IAS, Education Secretary, Chandigarh Administration. Temporary Shifting of Driving Test

Chandigarh, November 20, 2017: It is for the information to the general public/residents of Chandigarh that the regular driving test is temporarily shifting at the ground of Government Industrial Training Institute, Sector-28-C, Chandigarh w.e.f. 21 st November, 2017 due to execution of the construction work and repair of Cement Concrete Path at Children Traffic Park, Sector-23, Chandigarh for the Project of Innovative Driving Test System.       

Free Health Mela and HIV/AIDS Sensitization Camp

Chandigarh, November 19, 2017: Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society organised a free Health Mela and HIV/AIDS Sensitization camp at Dispensary of Rehabilitation Colony, Dhanas on 19 th November 2017. The Health Mela was inaugurated by Dr. Vanita Gupta, Project Director, Chandigarh SACS. The camp was organised in this densly populated EWS colony to provide free basic health services including STI treatment, HIV/AIDS testing and counselling at the door steps of the people. Free consultation and treatment was provided during the camp. Total 150 numbers of people got their free treatment for STI and 75 number of people voluntarily got their HIV test free of cost at Mobile ICTC Van which was stationed at the Mela. IEC activities were also carried out by the staff. IEC materials such as posters, pamphlets were distributed. An awareness exhibition was put up during the camp. To make people aware about the modes of HIV AIDS transmission and Prevention, a street play was organised.

CTU Implements changes in Buses for Convenience of General Public

Chandigarh 17 th  November 2017:  Chandigarh Transport Undertaking has implemented some changes in buses for the convenience of the general public of Tricity of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali 1.       Changes in bus sizes keeping in view the load factor and for smooth traffic flow on V-4 roads within sector Replacement of 09 Meter Midi buses with 12 Meter long Buses on Route No- 216 (ISBT- 43 to Derabassi via ISBT- 17).
