Review Meeting of Health Facility Staff / ANMs, LHVs and Medical Officer through video conference

Chandigarh.26 June,2020: The review meeting of ANMs and LHVs and Medical Officer  held today. The status of service deliveries under Maternal Health, Child Health, Family Planning, Immunization, NCD &.Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) was reviewed by Dr. G. Dewan, Mission Director, NHM and Director Health & Family Welfare, U.T. Chandigarh. In view of pandemic of Covid-19 and obeying the rule of social distancing, Health Department, U.T. Chandigarh has utilized the web video conference mode and Tablets,   provided to the ANMs of Health Facilities for discussing the steps for improving the Maternal and Child Health Care and immunization services in the current situation of Covid-19 in U.T. Opening of E- Financial Bids for allotment of liquor vends for the period 2020-21

Chandigarh.23 June,2020:In the first opening of e-tenders after operationalization of the new policy for the period 2020-21(01.07.2020 to 31.03.2021) at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh, the objectives sought to be realized in the policy have been achieved. The Excise & Taxation Department, U.T., Chandigarh received total 157 tenders/ bids electronically against 78 liquor vends/ licensing units having a reserve price of Rs. 216.33 crores. Getting an overwhelming response, the Department and collected a total revenue of Rs. 265.32 crores in the shape of licence fees, registering an increase of approximately 22.65% over the reserve price and received Rs 5.49 crores in shape of participation fee. The highest bid of Rs 7.56 crores has been received for vend code no. 5 at Sector 9, Internal Market against a reserve price of Rs. 4.12 crores.   An analysis of the successful bidders revealed that no single entity got allotment of more than 8 vends. Whereas vide order No. 40-3/2020-DM-I(A), dated 24/03/2020, the Union Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India had issued an order under Section 10(2)(1) of Disaster Management Act, stipulating lockdown measures for containment of COVID-19 in the country. Whereas the same order was extended vide letter dated 14/04/2020 to remain in force till 3 rd May, 2020 all over the country. Whereas the above lockdown order was extended upto 17/05/2020 by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India vide order dated 01/05/2020 and was further extended upto 30/06/2020 vide order dated 30/05/2020. Installation for SPV Power Plant upto 31.03.2021

Chandigarh.19 June,2020:U.T. Chandigarh Govt. has approved the scheme for installation of SPV Power Plants on the residential sector rooftops under RESCO mode, in which the residents of Chandigarh who are having the connected load 5kWp and more are eligible irrespective of their plot size. The project will be installed equal to the connected load maximum upto 10kWp or depending upon the consumption of the consumer. With the approval of this scheme the SPV Power Plant will be installed with zero investment of the beneficiaries and the project will be transferred to the beneficiaries without any charges after a period of around 15 years which will be decided through e-tender. The beneficiaries will get the solar power at a fixed tariff of Rs.3.44 per unit till the project transfer period.
