Chandigarh Rural Inhabitations Construction and Reconstruction Building Bye Laws for villages

Chandigarh, 12 th   April, 2017:- In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 2 of the “Chandigarh Rural Inhabitations (Area within Red line of  Revenue Estates, Abadi Areas) Construction and Reconstruction Building Bye Laws for villages (both within and outside Municipal limits) falling in Union Territory of Chandigarh, 2017” and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Administrator , Union Territory, Chandigarh is pleased to appoint the Deputy Commissioner-cum-Estate Officer, U.T., Chandigarh to perform the functions of the Competent Authority under the said rules.

Funds for the rehabilitation of disabled ex-servicemen by Infosys Foundation

Chandigarh, 11 th   April, 2017:-   Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-President Zila Sainik Board, UT, Chandigarh today delivered cheques  amounting to Rs. 5 lac each to fourteen disabled ex servicemen who belongs to Punjab, Haryana and UT Chandigarh region in the presence of Sh. Vikas Ahuja,  Head Chandigarh Development Centre and Delivery Manager  Infosys and other officials of Infosys, Chandigarh.  The funds were provided by the Infosys Foundation under CSR scheme for their rehabilitation on the basis of Memo of Understanding between Zila Sainik Board, UT, Chandigarh and Infosys Foundation. The criteria for the eligibility was that,   the disability be to the extent of 60 % (not rounded off) and above attributable /aggravated to Military Service. Raid conducted in bakeries and biscuit units

Chandigarh, 11 th   April, 2017:-   As per directions of SDM East , Dr Tapasya Raghav IAS , a raid was conducted  by the team of Food safety officer Bhaljinder Singh on bakeries and biscuit units in Raipur khurd, Chandigarh. During the drive, a bakery was challaned for running its operations in unhygienic and unsanitised conditions and approximately 10 kg rusks were destroyed. A challan was also issued to owner Of Biscuit unit on the spot for running the bakery without having a FSSAI licence. In addition to it, a legal sample was taken of jam being used to prepare Biscuits and has been sent to lab. As per SDM East the drive to check the running of illegal Bakeries without license in residential area would continue in coming days as well.

Change in OPD Timing

Chandigarh, 11 th  April, 2017:-  The OPD timings of Govt. Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector-16, Chandigarh and its allied dispensaries including Ayush Dispensaries, Civil Hospital Manimajra, Civil Hospital sector-22,  Chandigarh and Civil Hospital, Sectro-45, Chandigarh except ESI-29 & ESI-23, U.T., Sectt., Punjab & Haryana Sectt. High Court Dispensaries from 16 th April, 2017 to 15 th    October, 2017 will be 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The timing of ESI Dispensaries -29 & ESI-23, U.T., Sectt. Punjab & Haryana Sectt. And High Court Dispensaries will remain as before. 

Section 144 Cr. P.C. Imposed

Chandigarh, 11 th April 2017 : I n pursuance of Gazette notification No. F. No. X. 11029/6/2010-DDAP dated 17-07-2012 issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi and order of Secretary, Health, Chandigarh issued vide Endst. No. 1/68/FII(6)/2013/1127, dated 09-02-2015, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, District Magistrate, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers vested with him under Section 144 Cr.P.C. do hereby ordered that sale and production of Bottled Correcting Fluids, as well as bottled thinners of any chemical composition, both for ink erasing purposes as well as for nail polish removers and similar other purposes for retail sale, is hereby prohibited within the jurisdiction of Union Territory of Chandigarh, in the public interest for a period of 60 days.   This order shall come into force from zero hours on 16.04.2017 and shall be effective for a period of sixty days up to and including 14.06.2017 .
