Launch of “e-Awaas- Online Accommodation Management System" portal

Chandigarh, 11th March, 2016:  The Adviser to the Administrator, U.T Chandigarh, Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS, today launched “e-Awaas", the Online Accommodation Management System" portal at the U.T Secretariat. The inauguration was done in the presence of senior officers namely, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary cum State Mission Director, Smart City, Dr. S. B. Deepak Kumar, IAS, Secretary (Upper) House Allotment Committee and Sh. Danish Ashraf, IAS, Secretary (Lower) House Allotment Committee cum Nodal Officer, Smart City Mission.  “First of its kind” web portal in India,  e-Awaas  is meant to give details of Govt. House Accommodation, wherein all applications, grievances and queries related to Govt. House Allotment will be received and resolved online. Inauguration of Digital X Ray Machine at GMSH - 16

Chandigarh, 11 th  March, 2016:-   The Adviser to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS along with Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS Home Secretary cum Secretary Health today inaugurated the Digital X-Ray Machines installed at GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS appreciated the efforts of the Health Department of Chandigarh Administration in ensuring that all the government hospitals are well equipped with latest facilities to ensure that the citizens of the city face no hardships.  

Launch of “My Chandigarh” portal

Chandigarh, 10 th  March, 2016:-   To facilitate citizens of Chandigarh for provisions like electricity and water bill payment, pollution check, traffic updates, online polling and different e-services of different departments of Chandigarh Administration, a citizen engagement portal/website called “My Chandigarh” will be launched tomorrow by the Administration. This portal will be available on “Smart Chandigarh ” mobile application also. This project has been designed and developed by the team consisting of officials of “Smart City Mission” i.e. Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, State Mission Director and Sh. Danish Ashraf, IAS, Nodal Officer, Smart City Mission. Celebration of International Women’s Day

Chandigarh, 8 th March, 2016: On the occasion of “International Women’s Day”, which is celebrated worldwide on the 8 th of March, 2016, the Chandigarh Administration organized a series of events, seminar and celebrations throughout the city. In a tribute to the spirit of womanhood, celebrations were held at MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, wherein, a seminar on the theme of “Empower Girls to Empower World” was organized by the Chandigarh Education Department, Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society and Yuvsatta in collaboration with State Cell-NSS. During the celebrations, Girl Star Awards 2016 was presented by the Chief Guest, Sh. Flagging off a Marathon Event- Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao

Chandigarh, March 06, 2016:-  Sh. Ajit balaji joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh flagged off a marathon event named "Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao" today at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh, in which Sunil Kumar an athlete is running 260 kms nonstop via haryana to reach Delhi to highlight the cause of women empowerment . He started his marathon from Sukhna lake, Chandigarh and will end up at Cannaught Place, Delhi. Sh. Ajit Balaji joshi, IAS, Chandigarh felicitated Mr. Sunnil sharma for his super human effort.  He also urged the masses to support the cause of "Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao" with best of their energies and focus. Overwhelmed supporters from Chandigarh and Nahan ( Sunil's hometown) thronged the grounds of Sukhna Lake to attend the event. Many retired army officers, soldiers, professional ladies of army officers reached to support the event which aims to made an impact on all sections of the society.
