Administrator flags off 31 HVAC long route buses Chandigarh.26 July, 2019. The Governor of Punjab & Administrator, Sh.V.P.Singh Badnore in the presence of Adviser to Administrator Sh. Manoj Parida, flagged off 31 HVAC long route buses at ISBT, Sector 17, Chandigarh . These 31 HVAC buses will ply on long routes to Shimla, Manali, Dehradoon, Amritsar, Hissar, Haridwar, Delhi, Hansi, Harmirpur, Jawala Ji, Baijnath. These buses are having latest technology electronically controlled Diesel Engines. All buses are equipped with cameras, LED Destination boards, and GPS Devices for tracking of buses in real time. Each row of seat is equipped with reading lights, mobile charging points, A.C. Chandigarh Administration to provide free Rotavirus Vaccine with routine Immunization to children from 31 st  July 2019 at all Health Facilities Chandigarh, 25 th  July, 2019:  A Media Collaboration Meet for the launch of Rotavirus Vaccine under Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) was organized by Health Department, UT Chandigarh. The focus of the meet was to interact with media persons and sharing of the important information regarding Rotavirus Diarrhoea. This initiative will help to prevent the children between the age group of 0-5 years from Rotavirus Diarrhea in UT Chandigarh as Rotavirus is a highly contagious virus and Vaccination is the only specific intervention strategy for protection from Rota virus infection. Administrator chairs second meeting of the UT Wetland Authority SUKHNA LAKE TO BE DECLARED AS WETLAND UNDER WETLAND (CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT) RULE 2017 Chandigarh, 23 rd  July, 2019:  The Second Meeting of the Union Territory of Chandigarh Wetlands Authority was held today under the Chairpersonship of Shri V.P. Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab & Administrator, UT Chandigarh at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh. It has been unanimously decided to declare Sukhna Lake as Wetland under Wetland (Conservation and Management) Rule 2017. Besides officers of Chandigarh Administration, representative of Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, GOI and representative from Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, Officers from Haryana and Punjab were also invited as Special Invitees.
