MOA signed between PEC and SIEMENS to establish a Center of Excellence

Chandigarh, 12 th  October, 2018:  A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by the Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to Be University) with M/S Siemens Industry Software (India) Pvt Limited (SISW) to establish a Center of Excellence in the area of Manufacturing Engineering, Control and Automation. Valedictory Function on Wildlife Week Celebration 2018

Chandigarh, 9 th  October 2018 :  Wildlife week is observed during the first week of October all over the country, with the objective of raising awareness among masses for conservation of Wildlife and its habitat. The Department of Forests & Wildlife, Chandigarh organized various programmes during the week to sensitize and generate awareness among the masses for the Protection and Conservation of Wildlife, Nature and Natural resources. Today, a Valedictory Function on Wildlife Week Celebration 2018 was held at Botanical Garden, Sarangpur. Sh. Multi- Speciality Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh and its allied dispensaries including AYUSH Dispensaries, Civil Hospital Manimajra, Civil Hospital Sector 22, Chandigarh and Civil Hospital Sector 45 Chandigarh except ESI-29 & ESI- 23, U.T Sectt., Punjab & Haryana Sectt. High Court Dispensaries will be as under: WINTER:              16 th  October, 2018 to 15 th  April 2019 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM  The timings of ESI-29 & ESI- 23, U.T Sectt., Punjab & Haryana Sectt. High Court Dispensaries will remain as before.

Chandigarh Carnival 2018

Chandigarh , 8 th  October, 2018:  A meeting was held today at U.T Secretariat under the chairmanship of Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, Director, Tourism, Chandigarh Administration to discuss the preparations for the celebration of year Chandigarh Carnival 2018. The Chandigarh Carnival is the most awaited event of the year, which will be organised from 23 rd to 25 th  November this year at the Open Ground opposite to the Museum & Art Gallery, sector-10, Chandigarh. The theme of this year’s carnival will be “GANDHI GRAM” in commemoration to the 150 th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. UT Employees’ Annual Performance Process Streamlined

Chandigarh, October 8, 2018:   In a major transformation aimed at streamlining the process of annual performance appraisals of the Government Employees, Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APAR) for the FY 17-18 have been completed in the online mode. The earlier system was plagued with delays often caused by transfer of officers to their parent state or other locations. It is for the first time that the appraisals of most of the GroupA, B and C employees has been completed in time. Of close to 13000 employees whose performance was due, 98.25% had submitted their self-assessments online. Subsequently, the APARs were written at 3 levels by the Reporting Authority, Reviewing Authority and Accepting Authority of the respective employees. Compliance in excess of 98% has been achieved at all these levels. Currently performance rating are being disclosed to the employees.
