Laser Pain Relief facility in Govt. Multi Specialty Hospital, Sector -16,Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 9 th  November, 2018:  The department of physiotherapy, Govt. Multi Specialty Hospital, Sector -16,Chandigarh has further strengthened its services with the addition of LASER UNIT for relieving pain in patients with post surgery, muscles/ligament injuries, joint pains, and fibromyalgia. This will give more relief to the senior citizens/elderly patients who can seek relief quickly apart from other orthopaedic ailments. It is the latest model Type IV Laser Machine which is operated by the trained physiotherapist and has been facilitated by Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh under Corporate Social responsibility.

Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie, (SICOT) 2018

Chandigarh, 9th November, 2018:  Dr. Yuvraj Singh Hira Orthopaedic Surgeon working in department of Orthopaedics at Govt. Multi Specialty Hospital Sector-16, Chandigarh, attended Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie, (SICOT) 2018 which was held in Montreal Canada from 10 October 2018 to 13 October 2018.  It is one of the most prestigious conferences in the field of orhtopaedics. Dr. Yuvraj Singh Hira presented 6 e-posters and 1 oral paper in SICOT-2018. This is for the first time that a Orthopaedic Surgeon from GMSH-16 presented his research work in the form of posters and papers in such a big and prestigious conference. His research work was greatly applauded and appreciated by the foreign delegates present there at SICOT. 10th Chandigarh National Crafts Mela inaugurated today

Chandigarh, 9 th  November, 2018:  The 10 th  Annual Chandigarh National Crafts Mela which is being jointly organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh Administration and North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), was inaugurated today by Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary Home and Cultural Affairs  at Kalagram . Among other dignitaries present during the opening ceremony were Sh. Electricity Wing of Engineering Department Wins Best Performing Distribution Company

Chandigarh, 9th November 2018 : The Electricity Wing of Engineering Department UT Chandigarh has been selected as the winner under the category of Best Performing Distribution Company under Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) by IPPAI (Independent Power Producers Association of India). The award will be given during IPPAI Retreat 2018 to be held from 22-24 November at Belagavi, Karnataka.  For the last two years, Electricity wing of Engineering Department, Chandigarh Administration has been the first runner among all the UTs under JERC.
