Chandigarh hosts civil servants from Myanmar

Chandigarh, 3 rd April 2019: Chandigarh Administration hosted twenty civil servants from Myanmar, of Deputy Commissioner Level, for an exposure visit today. The programme was conducted in coordination with National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) as part of 1 st Mid Career Training Programme for District Administrators of Myanmar under the aegis of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie. Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Sachin Rana, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Sh. K K Yadav, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh interacted with the participants during training programme. Meeting held with the principals of various schools and colleges in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 3rd April, 2019: A meeting was held today at UT Guest House under the Chairmanship of Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, Additional Chief Electoral Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, U.T. Chandigarh, with the principals of various schools and colleges in Chandigarh. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss SVEEP activities (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) being undertaken by various educational institutions to propel youth who have turned 18 by 1st January, 2019 to enroll themselves as 1st time voters and attain their voter cards, motivate parents to exercise their right to vote and seek suggestions on how Schools and Colleges can take the lead in increasing voter turnout during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections on 19 May, 2019.   During the meeting, Sh. All the law/bye-laws applicable to U.T., Chandigarh will also be applied while allotting the spaces.
