Second National Conference of the Computer Committees of the High Courts Inaugurated at Chandigarh Judicial Academy

Celebrations of Armed Forces Flag Day

Chandigarh, 7 th  December, 2018:  7 th  Dec is observed as Armed Forces Flag Day throughout India to honour the martyrs as well as men and women in uniform, who valiantly fight on our borders to safeguard the country's honor. It is an occasion when the citizens of country show their solidarity with Armed Forces by wearing the flags on their dresses and making contributions towards Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.  Flag Day gains more significance as it considers that it is the responsibility of the civilian population of India to take care of the families and dependent of the armed forces personnel who fought for the country. Affixing of High Security Registration Plates

Chandigarh, 6 th  December, 2018:  It is for the information of general public/residents of Chandigarh that the process for affixing of High Security Registration Plates on new vehicles as well as on already registered vehicles has been started. The process for affixation of HSRP for registration series CH01-BJ has been completed. Now, the owners of vehicle having registration number  “CH01-BH”  shall apply for affixation of HSRP from  10.12.2018 to 09.01.2019  at their respective offices with the request on plain paper mentioning the detail of Chassis Number, Engine Number, Make, Model, copy of Registration Certificate of the vehicle and copy of valid insurance within above said period.

Chandigarh Administration signs MoU with Rotary Club Chandigarh to set up Health Education Centre

Swasth Bharat Yatra to begin from 27th December 2018

Department of Animal Husbandry & Fisheries participates in 13th Agro Tech-2018

Chandigarh, 3 rd  December 2018:  Responding to the Government of India initiative for doubling the farmer income, the Department of Animal Husbandry & Fisheries participated for the first time in the 13 th  Agro Tech-2018, India organised by CII Chandigarh. The Department of Animal Husbandry in exhibition focused on the activities undertaken by it regarding efficient animal healthcare system and disease control. The extension activities depicting better scientific Animal Husbandry practices were displayed. On the inaugural day, Sh. Tejdeep Singh Saini, Director Animal Husbandry revealed that the departments’ effort to produce quality fish seed was highlighted for conservation of ecological balance of Sukhna Lake. “Know Your HIV Status –Get Tested”

Chandigarh, 3 rd  December 2018:  In accordance with the theme of World AIDS Day 2018, Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society had organized an HIV/AIDS awareness event on 1 st  & 2 nd  December at Elante Mall, Chandigarh. The objective of the event was to sensitize people from all walks of life on HIV/AIDS and to motivate them to come forward and get their HIV test done to know their HIV status. In this two day  programme more than 1000 people were sensitized about HIV/AIDS and out of these 153 people were screened for HIV. Efforts were made to make visitors aware about HIV/AIDS .A team of young volunteers involved the visitors in awareness quiz on HIV/AIDS and gave prizes.  To reach the target 90:90:90 by 2020,that is Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society strive to ensure that   90% of people living with HIV Know their HIV status,90% of diagnosed people are put on  anti retro-viral treatment and   90% of people in treatment...
