Administrator Flags Off Electric Bus To Be Run On PGI - Madhya Marg Route

Chandigarh, 11th August 2021: Sh. V.P Singh Badnore, Governor Punjab & Administrator, UT Chandigarh flagged off the Electric bus today from Raj Bhawan in the presence of Sh. Dharam Pal,IAS,Adviser to the Administartor and other senior officials of Chandigarh Administration. He also travelled in the same bus from Raj Bhawan to Police Station, Sector 17 and thereafter to India International Centre, Chandigarh. The Proto bus will be on trial basis under City Conditions for approximately 20 days. Initially during trial the bus will be operated on PGI- Manimajra via Madhya Marg Route. The bus will be put under operation for general public tentatively from 1st week of September 2021. Further 19 buses are likely to be received by 30th September 2021 and other 20 by October 2021. Chandigarh.11th August,2021: Installation of 325kWp Rooftop Solar Power Plants at 12 No. Police Establishments in Chandigarh was inaugurated today by Sh.V.P. Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh in the presence of Sh.Dharam Pal, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, UTChandigarh along with Sh.Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary(Science & Technology & RE), Sh.Sanjay Baniwal, IPS, Director General of Police, UT Chandigarh and Sh.Debendra Dalai, IFS, Director (Science & Technology & Renewable Energy)-cum-CEO, CREST, UT Chandigarh. These Plants have been installed on the rooftop of 12 No. Police Establishments in Chandigarh with a total cost of Rs.1.62 Crore which includes O&M cost for 10 years. Adviser Inaugurated Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station in GMSSS22

Chandigarh.10th August,2021: Chandigarh Administration is making continuous efforts in monitoring the air quality of the city. As a step forward, ‘Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station (CAAQMS)’ installed at Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-22, Chandigarh has been inaugurated today by Sh.Dharam Pal, IAS, Adviser, UT Chandigarh in the presence of Sh.Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary Environment-cum-Chairman, CPCC, UT Chandigarh and Sh.Debendra Dalai, IFS, Special Secretary Environment & Member Secretary, CPCC, Chandigarh. The CAAQMS has been installed by Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC) to monitor various parameters of ambient air quality on real time basis. The Department of Industries, Chandigarh, Plot No 39, Industrial Areas II invites applications from individual applicants and groups ( existing/new) under the PMFME scheme for setting up of Bakery products as ODOP for Chandigarh.
