Administrator flags off Kalam Express unit for children with special needs

Chandigarh, 23rd    June, 2016 : Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Hon'ble Governor Haryana, Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh today flagged off the KALAM Express, a mobile educational cum rehabilitation unit for children with special needs from Haryana Raj Bhawan. Sh. City beautiful revels in the 2nd International Day of Yoga celebrations

Chandigarh, 21 st June, 2016: City beautiful, Chandigarh ushered in a Yogic mode today as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi celebrated the 2 nd International Day of Yoga at the Capitol Complex in Chandigarh. Over 30, 000 people who have been rehearsing for this momentous event for the past few days , included 10,000 participants each from Chandigarh, Punjab & Haryana. The grand event began with the arrival of the Hon’ble Prime Minister at 6.35 am and concluded with a 45 minutes Yoga demonstration of Common Yoga Protocol. The emphasis this year was on the participation of 150 Divyangs, youth and people from weaker sections of the society, who added up to the greatness of the event. Thousands of colourful mats were laid out in the Capitol Complex where thousands of people were seen twisting, bending and stretching with the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Municipal Corporation Responds to Clean the Area at Capitol Complex on War-Footing Level

Chandigarh, 21 st  June, 2016:  In the International Day of Yoga held on 21.06.2016 at the Capital Complex, Chandigarh, thousands of people from the different groups/institutions participated.  In addition to this, there were police officials, Duty Magistrates, Supervisors, Sector Officers, Team Leaders, Group Leaders and Volunteers from Nirankari Mission. Chandigarh Housing Board

Chandigarh, 20 th June, 2016: All the allottees of Chandigarh Housing Board have been allowed to provide upto 3050mm (10’- 0” ) wide gate in the side boundary wall of the rear courtyard abutting the V-5 & V-6 roads.  However, no gate is allowed on V-3 & V-4 roads, open public spaces, reserved spaces etc.  Further a grill of height upto 686mm (2’- 3” ) is allowed to be provided over the boundary wall of the rear court yard. The height of the gate shall not exceed the height of the boundary wall or the height of the grill fixed on the boundary wall wherever grill is provided.  Although no approval from CHB is required for the same however, a fee of Rs. 5000/- per dwelling unit will be charged from the allottee for availing the benefit of the gate.  The allottees who have already made provision of the gate can get the same regularized by depositing a fee of Rs. 10,000/- to CHB.

Rehearsals for International Day of Yoga

Chandigarh, 19 th June, 2016: The heart of the city beautiful today turned in yogic mode when 30,000 participants from across the tricity participated in the rehearsals for the International Day of Yoga. Hon’ble Governor Haryana and Punjab and Administrator U.T Chandigarh presided over the function along with Secretary, AYUSH, Shri   Ajit   M. Sharan, Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS Home Secretary, Sh. Sarvjit Singh, IAS, Finance Secretary, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner cum Nodal Officer International Day of Yoga, Ms. Kriti Garg, IAS, SDM (S) SPG team, senior officials from Ministry of AYUSH and senior officials of the Chandigarh Administration.
