Chandigarh.14 January, 2020.With the gazette notification of 188 public services being provided by the five major public dealing departments viz. DC Office, Estate Office, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh Housing Board and Registering & Licensing Authority, the Right to Service Act has come into operation in the UT of Chandigarh since October, 2019 The Chandigarh Right to Service Commission has been monitoring the implementation of the Right to Service Act by the above-mentioned departments on regular basis. As per the reports received from these departments, they have been able to dispose of 99% of the applications (received in their offices in respect of the notified public services), well within the prescribed time-limits!
