Section 144 Imposed

Chandigarh, 8 th June, 2017: In pursuance of Gazette notification No. F. No. X. 11029/6/2010-DDAP dated 17-07-2012 issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi and order of Secretary, Health, Chandigarh issued vide Endst. No. 1/68/FII(6)/2013/1127, dated 09-02-2015, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, District Magistrate, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers vested with him under Section 144 Cr.P.C. has hereby ordered that sale and production of Bottled Correcting Fluids, as well as bottled thinners of any chemical composition, both for ink erasing purposes as well as for nail polish removers and similar other purposes for retail sale, is hereby prohibited within the jurisdiction of Union Territory of Chandigarh, in the public interest for a period of 60 days.

Against Fraudulent activities under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (URBAN)

Chandigarh, 6 th June, 2017: It is given to understand that certain persons (individuals/entities) are making fraudulent offers of benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) to potential beneficiaries.   It is hereby cautioned that M/o HUPA/Chandigarh Administration/Chandigarh Housing Board, Chandigarh has not authorized any person to collect money for availing of any benefit under PMAY (U) It is advised not to pay money or disclose details (such as –Aadhar card/Bank details/Phone numbers/E-mail id etc.) to any person for PMAY (U) Any such fraudulent activities are to be reported to the nearest police station.   Any person using the name or logo of PMAY (U) or M/o HUPA or responsible for abetment of any fraud in the name of PMAY (U) shall be liable for penal action. Celebration of World Environment Day

Chandigarh, 5 th  June, 2017:   A function was organized at  Tagore Theatre , Chandigarh on the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’   by Municipal Corporation Chandigarh in collaboration with Department of Environment & Forests and Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee, UT Chandigarh   wherein Sh. Department of Higher Education Launched Joint online portal for Admission to Government & Private colleges

Chandigarh, 5 th June, 2017: The Joint online admission for year 2017-18 to under-graduate & post graduate colleges of Chandigarh was inaugurated today by H.E Sh. V. P. Singh Badnore, Governor Punjab & UT Administrator by launching the Joint online admission portal www.dhe.chd.gov.in at UT Secretariat in the presence of Sh. Tatkal facility of Chandigarh Housing Board

Chandigarh, 5 th June, 2017: The Chandigarh Housing Board has provided Tatkal facility for various services of CHB. Under this scheme, the cases of applicants are processed on priority basis. In order to bring further transparency, the Tatkal Section is now putting up the cases to the competent authority within 3 days from the date of receipt of application, after completion of all the required formalities. Analysis of class 10th Results of Government CBSE Schools

Chandigarh, 3 rd   June, 2017:   Continuing with the tradition, the city govt. schools have again proved their mettle by showing improved pass percentage in the CBSE class 10 results announced today afternoon .A total number 10736 students appeared in AISSE class 10( 2016-17) in 88 model and non- model category of govt. schools in Chandigarh.
