GMCH-32 gets A Facility Integrated Anti-Retroviral Therapy Centre

Chandigarh, 18 th January, 2017: Hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore visited GMCH, Sector – 32, Chandigarh today and dedicated a number of facilities to the residents of city beautiful. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to Administrator, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary-Cum-Secretary Health and Prof. Atul Sachdev, Director Principal, GMCH were also present on the occasion. Constructed at a cost of Rs.32.00 Lacs by Paul Merchants under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) a Sarai by the name of “Panaah” was dedicated to the attendants of patients visiting GMCH. The Sarai has a capacity of 82 beds and is equipped with bed & bedding including separate facilities for males & females. The attendants of the patients will be nominally charged Rs.20.00 per day which will be waived off for poor and BPL patients. Trials for Chandigarh Wresting Team to be held on 19th January

Chandigarh, 18 th January, 2017: Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration is going to hold trials for selection of Chandigarh wrestling team on 19.01.2017 at 9:00 am at Wrestling Coaching Center, Sector-42, Chandigarh for participation in Khelo India National level competition under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The competition is going to be held at New Delhi from 20.01.2017 to 22.01.2017 and is open for boys & girls in the age group of 14 to 16 years. Competition is going to be held under the following weight category Boys----- Upto 50kg, 54kg, 58kg, & 63kg Girls---- Upto 40kg, 43kg, 46kg & 49 kg Gold, Silver & Bronze medal winner will be given cash prize of Rs.5000, Rs.3000 & Rs.2000 respectively. Boarding / lodging and traveling expenses will be borne by hosts of the competition.Team will depart for New Delhi on 19.01.2017 and return on 23.01.2017.
