National Lok Adalat

Chandigarh, 12 th  November, 2016 : National Legal Services Authority under the visionary Leadership of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Anil R. Dave, Judge Supreme Court of India organized National Lok Adalat at all levels from Sub-Division level Courts to the Hon’ble Supreme Court today.   In the Union Territory of Chandigarh under the able guidance of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sh. Surveillance Drive

Chandigarh, 12 th  November, 2016 : Today 8 cases of Dengue have been reported from various health institutions which brings the total number of Dengue cases to 832 in the city. 1 case of Chikungunya has been reported today out of which all are from Chandigarh. The overall details of 230 cases of Chikungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 45 imported, 53 wrong address and 132 from Chandigarh. To further strengthen the preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out alongwith strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources. Ninth Day of 8th Annual Chandigarh National Crafts Mela

Chandigarh, 12 th  November, 2016:    The ninth day of 8th Annual Chandigarh National Crafts Mela, which is being jointly organized by the Chandigarh Administration and North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) at Kalagram witnessed huge crowd of visitors, with people from tricity and nearby areas visiting the Mela to experience the rich culture of Rajashtan. Government Museum and Art Gallery to Showcase Paintings of Olivia Fraser

Chandigarh, 11 th November, 2016 : The Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh is going to organize an exhibition of paintings by Olivia Fraser at the Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh in collaboration with Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academi which will continue till 30 th November 2016. The inauguration of the exhibition will be held on Wednesday, 16th November 2016 and will be inaugurated by Prof. B.N. Goswamy, Prof. Emeritus, Punjab University. Fraser, who was born in London and raised in the Highlands of Scotland, has lived and worked in India since 1989. Chandigarh, 11 th November, 2016 : Under the guidance of Hon’ble Justice Shiavax Jal Vazifdar, Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court and Patron-in Chief, State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh and Hon’ble Justice Surya Kant, Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge and Executive Chairman State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh, the SLSA, U.T, Chandigarh bagged two prizes in the National Commendation Ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, as part of observance of Legal Services Authority Day on 9 th November 2016. National Lok Adalats

Chandigarh, 11 th November, 2016 : The National Lok Adalats are being organized throughout the country every month during the year 2016 on a specified subject matter.   State Legal Services Authorities have been requested to hold monthly National Lok Adalat on a specified subject matter during the year 2016.  In addition to monthly National Lok Adalats, the State Authorities are requested to hold one National Lok Adalat exclusively for all matters, both pre-litigation and pending during the month of November/December, 2015. The Hon'ble Chief Justice of India and Hon'ble Executive Chairman, NALSA has directed that the National Lok Adalat for all matters may be organized throughout the country right from Taluk level court to Supreme Court on 12.11.2016.
