Draw of lots Under Sub Scheme ‘A’

Chandigarh, 15 th  July, 2016 :   The applicants of Sub Scheme ‘A’ who have applied in 200 Two Bed Room Flats under Self Financing Housing Scheme 2016 on lease hold basis in Sector-51-A, Chandigarh of the Chandigarh Housing Board are hereby informed that the draw of lots will be held on 25.07.2016 at 11.00 A .M. onward, in the presence of the Property Allotment Committee (PAC)as well as the applicants, in the Chandigarh Housing Board premises and the allotment of dwelling units as per provisions of the scheme will be made on the same date. All the applicants are, therefore, informed to be present on the above said date, time & venue.

Anti Dengue Month

Chandigarh, 15 th  July, 2016 :  As a preparatory activity under the guidance of Director Health & Family Welfare, UT-Chandigarh the Malaria wing of Health Department, UT-Chandigarh today organized Health Awareness camp/ advocacy workshop Near Market Sector-20 Chandigarh, as a part of  observance of July as Anti Dengue Month. Orders- Need Based Changes

Chandigarh, 13 th   July, 2016 : Whereas CHB vide its Need Based Changes orders dated 18.02.2016 and 10.06.2016 has allowed additional construction of room / toilet /store in the rear courtyard / terrace as per the Standard Drawings or as per the drawings approved by the CHB. Whereas many of the allottees who have already made additional construction in their rear courtyards / terraces which are not in accordance to the applicable byelaws have been approaching CHB for regularization of the same as the construction was done by them many years ago and any modification to such constructions to bring it in accordance to the byelaws is not feasible at this stage.

397th Meeting of Chandigarh Housing Board

Chandigarh, 13 th   July, 2016 : Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) in its 397 th meeting has decided that under 200 Two Bed Room Flats- Self Financing Housing Scheme-2016 on Lease Hold Basis in Sector-51, Chandigarh the date of payment of balance 90% of consideration/price of dwelling unit  i.e. within 90 days from the date of issuance of Acceptance-Cum-Demand Letter (ACDL) (both days inclusive) under Sub Scheme ‘B’ “Assured allotment” shall also be commenced from the date of issuance of ACDL to the successful applicants of Sub Scheme ‘A’. The above decision has been taken to facilitate the  successful applicants of Sub Scheme ‘B’ “Assured Allotment” who are paying a price higher than the reserve price and shall also be at a disadvantage/discrimination  on account of bearing interest on the amount payable to CHB for an additional period as compared to the successful applicants under Sub Scheme ‘A’.

Chandigarh Housing Board

Chandigarh, 13 th  July, 2016 : All the allottees of Chandigarh Housing Board are allowed to provide gate upto 3050mm (10’-0”) vide in the side / rear boundary wall of the rear courtyard abutting the V-5 and V-6 roads. However, no gate is allowed on V-3 and V-4 roads, open public spaces, reserved spaces etc. Further, a grill of height upto 686mm (2’-3”) is allowed to be provided over the boundary wall of the rear courtyard. The height of the gate shall not exceed the height of the boundary wall or the height of grill fixed on the boundary wall wherever grill is provided. Although no approval from CHB is required for the same, however, a fee of Rs. 3000/- per Dwelling Unit will be chargeable from the allottee for availing the benefit of the gate. This supersedes the previous order No. 154 dated 20.06.2016 in this regard.

Affixation of High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) for Series CH01-BG and CH03-N

Chandigarh, 13 th  July, 2016 :  It is for the information to the general public that the process for affixation of High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) for the series CH01-BG and CH03-N have been kept pending due to expiry of contract of existing vendor of High Security Registration Plates (HSRPs). The process for applying/affixation of High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) on series CH03-N and its predecessor and the series CH01-BG and onward will be started after the finalization of new tender of HSRP.

GPA Transfer Policy of Chandigarh Housing Board

Chandigarh, 12 th  July, 2016 :   The Chandigarh Housing Board is regularizing the GPA Transactions under the GPA Transfer Policy of CHB. While regularizing the property under the GPA Transfer Policy, the department processes the cases on the basis of GPA/SPA and agreement to sell. It has come to notice that in some cases the Agreement to Sell which was part of the GPA transaction was not available/lost. As per law, in case of loss of agreement to sell,the party has to produce secondary evidence which may be certified copies or photocopies or oral accounts of the contents of the document given by some person who has himself seen it etc. Keeping in view these circumstances, on the persistent demand of the general public, in the interest of public service and to facilitate the delivery of services to the general public, it is hereby ordered that the department shall regularize these cases if: - 1.   The applicant submits the proof of loss of agreement to sell i.e....

Initiative to Provide Aids & Appliances to Specially Abled

Chandigarh, 12 th  July, 2016 : The Department of Social Welfare, Chandigarh Administration is taking an initiative to provide Aids & Appliances to Specially Abled Persons who have been living in Chandigarh from last three years and having disability of 40% and above. All Specially Abled Persons having the family income of Rs. 1.5 lacs per annum and those who are in need of any kind of artificial limbs, crutches, CP chair, wheel chair, two wheeler with side support, three wheeler etc. as recommended by the doctor can visit the dept and apply for the same at the earliest. The Department is more concerned towards those specially abled persons whose disability has not been assessed so far and the Department is providing logistics to and fro from their door step to the hospitals to get their disability assessment done. Certificate Distribution Programme

Chandigarh, 12 th  July, 2016 :  A Certificate Distribution Programme was held at Model Jail, Chandigarh today where 48 students were presented Degrees and Certificates. Among 24 IGNOU students, inmate Ishwinder Singh was awarded Completion Certificate of Master of Arts in History ,  Sukhdev Singh and Ashok Kumar were awarded with Completion Certificate of Bachelor Degree Programme.  9 IGNOU students were awarded with the Certificates in Disaster Management, 3 with Certificates in Aids and Family Education, 2 with Certificates in Food & Nutrition, 4 with Certificates in Human Rights, 3 with Certificates in Tourism studies. 10 inmates got certificates from Adult Education Department: 2 in Class-II, 1 in class III, 2 in Class V, 2 in class VII and 3 in Class VIII. Eco Club Day

Chandigarh, 12 th   July, 2016 :   To observe Van Mahotsav-2016 in a befitting manner by involving various Greening agencies like NGOs, Resident Welfare Associations, Eco-Clubs besides Government agencies, Department of Forest & Wildlife, Chandigarh Administration organized  ‘Eco Club Day’  today during which various schools planted saplings within their school premises. Cleanliness Drive at SPCA

Chandigarh, 11 th  July, 2016:     Cleanliness Drive was undertaken at the SPCA Sector-38 (West) Chandigarh which is working under the able guidance of Shri. Ajit Balaji Joshi, Deputy Commissioner, U.T., Chandigarh-cum- President, SPCA on 10 th  July, 2016. A large number of animal lovers, volunteers and staff of the SPCA participated with enthusiasm in cleaning the premises of SPCA shelter. During the cleanliness drive all the kennels and utensils were sanitized. At Present there are 73 dogs, 28 large animals and 21 birds under treatment in SPCA. It was also intimated to the participants that in future the SPCA is going to organize camps in various places of Chandigarh regarding anti rabies vaccine to stray dogs and to educate people about animal health of sick and injured stray animals and how to give them first aid. Sood Dharamshala to be the country’s first ‘ Green Dharamshala’

Chandigarh, 10 th   July, 2016:   Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS Advisor to the Administrator, Chandigarh inaugurated 20 kWp solar photovoltaic power plant, Biogas plant having capacity of 6M 3   & Rainwater Harvesting units at Sood Dharamshala, sector 22-D Chandigarh.
