Health Camp

Chandigarh, 30 th  July, 2016:  Chandigarh Health Department in Collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Gynae. Department, GMSH-16 and State Bank of Patiala organized free Health Camp at Civil Dispensary, Sector 8 today. The Health Camp was inaugurated by Sh. Baldeo Purushartha, IAS, Commissioner Municipal Corporation and Joint Commissioner Sh. Rajiv Gupta. This was the sixth Health Camp in continuation of previous five Health Camps held at Daddu Majra, Maulijagran, Dhanas, Ramdarbar and PHD 25.  Dr. Vanita Gupta, Director Health Services assured that the optimum health care services will be provided to people coming to the health facilities. Commissioner Municipal Corporation announced exclusive support in this social cause of organizing health camp. Specialists from field of Medicine, Gynae., Eye, Skin and ENT examined patients and gave free consultation. Camp for Person with Disability

Chandigarh, 29 th July, 2016: The Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration in convergence with ALIMCO organized a camp for Person with Disability at Aasha Kiran, Sector 46 today. In the camp 190 Persons with Disability were registered who were identified during the survey conducted by the Department from the month of March to July. After registration these 190 beneficiaries were assessed by the technical officers of the ALIMCO for the requirement of aids and appliances of these beneficiaries. In all 38 digital type Hearing Aid & Smart Canes, 11 tablets, 14 Daisy player, 70 folding wheel chairs, 24 Tri Cycle and 15 artificial limbs shall be provided to these beneficiaries free of cost under SIPDA scheme of Government of India Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.                           ...

Bharat Prakarsh Foundation donates water purifiers to 47 ICCW crèches

Chandigarh, 29 th July, 2016: 47 crèches run by the Indian Council of Child Welfare (ICCW) along with the Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration caters to the needs of day care of children from families with working parents. These centres take good care of the children; however they lacked access to safe and clean drinking water.           Initiative taken by Smt. Bhawna Garg IAS, Secretary Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration , "Project Neer" was launched by BPF in collaboration with Lets endorse, an online portal in July 2016 for providing safe potable water to the crèches. The Project has been successfully fulfilled with the support of Corporate Patrons of Bharat Prakarsh Foundation namely Nectar Lifesciences Ltd. and Winsome Foundation and Tata Swachh Smart Water Purifiers are being given to each of the 47 crèches.

National Awards for Excellence in Journalism

Chandigarh, 29 th July, 2016: Press Council is seeking entry for National Awards for Excellence in Journalism. November 16 is observed as the National Press Day, by the Press Council of India, a statutory autonomous authority, set up by an Act of Parliament to Preserve the freedom of the press and maintain its high standards. The Council is completing 50 years of its establishment and, therefore, a Golden Jubilee Commemoration on November, 16, is being contemplated. A Function to this effect will be held in Delhi, coinciding with conferment of National Awards for Excellence in print Journalism in various fields. The entries for Awards have been invited through advertisement. The same can be seen on the website of the Press Council of India i.e. www.presscouncil.nic.in with other documents. 

Registration Process for Haemophilia patients

Chandigarh, 29 th July, 2016: Govt Medical College & Hospital, sector-32, Chandigarh has started the registration process for Haemophilia patients. Health Awareness camp

Chandigarh, 29 th July, 2016: As a preparatory activity under the guidance of Director Health & Family Welfare, UT-Chandigarh the Malaria wing of Health Department, UT-Chandigarh today organized Health Awareness camp/ advocacy workshop at Village Sarangpur, as a part of observance of July as Anti Dengue Month.           The awareness camp was attended by Dr. Inderpal Singh (Epidemiologist-IDSP), MO Incharge DR. Health Camp to be held at Civil Dispensary

Chandigarh, July 28, 2016:  Chandigarh Health Department in Collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Gynae. Department GMCH-32 and State Bank of Patiala is going to organize free Health Camp at  Civil Dispensary, Sector 8  on 30 th  July, 2016 (Saturday) from 8.00 AM onwards. Provision of Grills In CHB Allotted Houses

Chandigarh, 27 th July, 2016: A large number of DUs under various General Housing Schemes, Employees Schemes and other special category schemes have been allotted by Chandigarh Housing Board, where under balconies/verandahs have been provided.  The allottees of such DUs have been approaching CHB for permission to install grills in the balconies/verandahs for the purpose of safety and security. Considering the genuine demand of the allottees, CHB has allowed the benefit of provision of grills of standard design in balconies/verandahs for all DUs of CHB.  This has been allowed as per the already approved standard design of grills for the rehabilitation category DUs. Permission to Cover The Corridor Area In Sector 45 A

Chandigarh, 27 th July, 2016: The allottees of DUs of HIG (Upper) category, Sector 45-A, Chandigarh approached Chandigarh Housing Board for permission to cover the  corridor area adjoining their respective DUs as the same is being used for exclusive approach to individual flats and the coverage will not hamper free movement of any other allottee. Considering the genuine demand of the allottees, Chandigarh Housing Board has allowed the coverage of the corridor area adjoining the DUs of  HIG (Upper) category, Sector 45-A, Chandigarh, as per the standard designs of the said category. Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development to Organize Assessment Camp for PwDs

Chandigarh, 26th th  July, 2016:  It has always been endeavor of the Social Welfare, Women & Child Development Department to give focused attention to different policy issues and keeping a meaningful thrust on the activities aimed for the welfare and empowerment of the Persons with Disabilities. The Department has been focusing to cover all the persons with probable disability by conducting door to door survey and identify PwDs who need Disability Certificate, Aid & Appliances. The Department is also providing logistics for such identified PwDs and facilitating them in getting disability identity cards so that they can be linked with the benefits being provided under different social security schemes.  Chandigarh, 24 th  July, 2016: The applicants who have applied for 200 Two Bed Room Flats under Self Financing Housing Scheme 2016 on lease hold basis in Sector-51-A, Chandigarh (Sub Scheme ‘A’) of the Chandigarh Housing Board are hereby informed that the draw of lots will be held on 25.07.2016 at 11.00 A .M. onwards in the presence of the Property Allotment Committee (PAC) as well as in the presence of the applicants in the Chandigarh Housing Board premises and the allotment of dwelling units as per provisions of the scheme will be made on the same date.
