Registration for participating in e-auction of left over special/fancy registration numbers of series "CH01-BV" , “CH01-BU”, “CH01-BT” & “CH01-BS”

Chandigarh, 8 th  March 2019:  It is for the information to the general public/residents of Chandigarh that the  registration  for participating in e-auction of left over special/fancy registration numbers of series " CH01-BV " ,  “CH01-BU” ,  “CH01-BT”  &  “CH01-BS”  will be started from 11.03.2019 (10:00 AM) and will continue till 15.03.2019 (05:00 PM). The e-auction/bidding will be started from 16.03.2019 (10:00 AM) to 18.03.2019 (05:00PM). The owner of the vehicle can register himself/herself on the National Transport website:  https://vahan.parivahan.gov. in/fancy  and the link of the same is available on the Chandigarh Administration, Transport Department website:  www.chdtransport.gov.in  and obtain the Unique Acknowledgement Number (UAN). Deputy Commissioner reviews election preparedness in the parliamentary constituency of Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 8th March 2019:  A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner cum Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Mandip Singh Brar with the Nodal Officers to review the election preparedness in the parliamentary constituency of Chandigarh. National Immunization Day (NID) from 10th March – 12th March, 2019

Chandigarh, 8th March 2019: National Immunization Day (NID) is going to be observed throughout the country from 10th March – 12th March, 2019.  In the same regard, Immunization will be carried out for the children from 0 to 5 years of age. It is going to be a three days activity whereby on first day i.e.  10th March, 2019 shall be a booth activity. The vaccination of all eligible children will be undertaken at the booths established by the Health Department within the health facility as well as at various identified sites. Chandigarh has been divided into four zones and total numbers of approximate 450 booths have been established. Private Colleges of Chandigarh including Engineering Colleges have come forward to be a part of the immunization drive and the students of nursing colleges are going to take part as volunteers to immunize the kids with oral pulse polio drops. EXCISE POLICY OF CHANDIGARH FOR THE YEAR 2019-20

Chandigarh, 8th March 2019: Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator U.T., Chandigarh Sh. V. P. Singh Badnore, after a detailed presentation by the Adviser, Secretary (E&T), ETC and other Senior Officers of the Excise Department, has approved new Excise Policy for the year 2019-20. The new Excise Policy aims at balancing the aspirations of the consumers, manufacturers, wholesalers/ retailers and the Government. Some of the salient features of this Policy are:- 1. The Excise Policy 2019-20 would help to earn revenue approx. Rs. 600 crores in comparison with Rs. 510 crores last year and increase of approx. 18% over the corresponding last year. 2. For the first time in U.T., Chandigarh, the allotment of licensing units will be made through  e-tendering system for more transparency and online system for issuance of permit/passes to facilitate Trade and Industry has also been introduced. 3. Administrator Inaugurates Major Health & Sports Projects in the City

Chandigarh, 4th March 2019: The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh today inaugurated major health and sports projects in the City. Among the projects were  Sports complexes, Sector 38 (W), 50 & 56, Chandigarh,100 Bedded Hospital, Sector 48, Chandigarh, Mental Health Institute, Sector 32 and Block A in Govt. Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities, sector-31, Chandigarh. In order to provide better sports infrastructure facilitie in the southern part of the city, 3 sports complexes in Sector 38 (W), 50 & 56 have been inaugurated. Each sports complex has been built on more than 2.86 acre plot area at an estimated cost of Rs.8 Crore. Each sports conplex has facilities of swimming pool, table tennis hall,  badminton courts, squash courts, gymnasium hall, circulation area and entrance hall. Administrator inaugurates 4960 Flats at Maloya Housing Complex

Chandigarh, 3rd March 2019: The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T Chandigarh inaugurated 4960 flats at Maloya Housing Complex and Member of Parliament, Smt. Kirron Kher handed over the allotment letters to the beneficiaries of flats at Maloya today in the presence of Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator and other officers of Chandigarh Administration. “The day is dedicated to all the beneficiaries today”, said Smt. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament while addressing the audience at the event today. Administrator lays foundation stone for the construction of flyover and underpass at Tribune Chowk

Chandigarh, 3rd March 2019: The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T Chandigarh, Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore today laid the foundation stone of the much awaited and desired flyover and underpass at Tribune Chowk, Chandigarh. During the ceremony a congratulatory message by Sh. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation was played congratulating the Member of Parliament for her efforts which have resulted in the commencement of this project.
