Chandigarh, September 28, 2018:  The Department of Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Chandigarh Administration will be organizing 20 th Livestock Census in U.T. Chandigarh on 1 st  October 2018 as per the guidelines received from Govt. of India, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, New Delhi. The Animal Husbandry & Fisheries Department is the Nodal Agency for conducting Livestock Census in Chandigarh. During the Census, extensive field survey will be done where enumerators shall visit each and every household / non household / enterprise to record number of animals according to their breeds and other characteristics. This includes domestic animals, data of stray cattle, dogs, poultry fisheries, small animals and agriculture equipments as per schedules prepared by Govt. of India. Chandigarh, September 28, 2018:  A State Level Workshop on POSHAN Abhiyaan was organised today by the Department of Social Welfare in convergence with the Line Departments as part of the Rashtriya  POSHAN Maah Celebration at Bhargava Auditorium, PGI, U.T. Chandigarh.  An event is deemed successful, if the motive of the event is being  acknowledged and appreciated. Hon'ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator U.T. Chandigarh,  Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore, graced the event as “Chief Guest” and Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh was the “Guest of Honour” of the event. Chandigarh,  September 28, 2018 :   It is for the information of general public/residents of Chandigarh that the process for affixing of High Security Registration Plates on new vehicles as well as on already registered vehicles has been started. The process for affixation of HSRP for registration series CH01-BK has been completed.  Now, the owners of vehicle having registration number  “CH01-BJ”  shall apply for affixation of HSRP from  01.10.2018 to 31.10.2018  at their respective offices with the request on plain paper mentioning the detail of Chassis Number, Engine Number, Make, Model, copy of Registration Certificate of the vehicle and copy of valid insurance within above said period.  Moreover, the process for affixation of HSRPs on vehicles which are being registered with current series i.e. CH01-BT will also be taken up with the above said series i.e. CH01-BJ.

Chandigarh,  September 26, 2018 :  The 64 th  National school games org anised by the Education Department, Chandigarh Administration, commenced today with the colorful opening ceremony held at sports complex, Govt Model High School, Sector-43, Chandigarh. Smt. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament, Chandigarh UT was the chief guest on the occasion. The game will be played in the discipline of Squash Under-14, 17 and 19 Boys & Girls. Around 300 players and officials will participate in this 4 day meet.
