Seminar on Environment Development in Sustainable Development

Chandigarh, 6 th   April, 2017:-   Chandigarh Engineering Department, Chandigarh Housing Board and Municipal Corporation Chandigarh is hosting midterm session and seminar on “ Environment Development in Sustainable Development” in Chandigarh on 7 th   and 8 th   April 2017. Transportation Technology Aggregators Rules, 2017 for Web Based taxis

Chandigarh, 6th April 2017:   Chandigarh Administration has notified on-demand Transportation Technology Aggregators Rules, 2017 for Web Based taxis in the U.T., Chandigarh.  1.  Eligibility Conditions For obtaining  Licence  – (i)  The applicant must be a registered entity under the laws of India.  (ii) The applicant shall comply with all applicable rules and regulations prescribed under the Act and also the Information Technology Act, 2000, including the intermediary guidelines.   iii) The applicant shall not own or lease any vehicle, employ any driver or represent himself as a taxi service provider, unless also registered as a taxi operator under the applicable law.   iv) The applicant/operator must have published a policy on matters related to taxi fare, registration of taxis and drivers with its platforms/application, sharing of fares between taxi owners and ...

773 Applications received by Chandigarh Housing under Oustees Scheme & 69,000 applications received under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – “Housing for All”

Chandigarh, 5 th April 2017: Chandigarh Housing Board had invited applications w.e.f. 30.1.2017 for allotment of flats/Dwelling units to the eligible oustees of UT under Self Financing Scheme on Leasehold/freehold Basis under “Chandigarh Allotment of dwelling units to the Oustees of Chandigarh, Scheme, 1996”.   The last date for close of the scheme was fixed on 28.2.2017 which was extended upto 15.3.2017 and further extended upto 28.3.2017. The Chandigarh Housing Board had offered 263 Dwelling Units i.e. 27 HIG (3BR), 102 MIG (2BR), 60 LIG (1BR) & 74 EWS (One Room) to various oustees, as per their chosen option. Allotment of Retail sale liquor vends (L-2/L- 14A licences)

Chandigarh, 5 th April 2017: The Excise Policy, 2017-18 was approved by the Chandigarh Administration at the end of the month of March, 2017. In the Policy, the allotment of retail sale liquor licences (L-2/L- 14A) is a major activity as the department gets major part of the excise revenue from the retail sale liquor licenses, directly in the form of licence fees and indirectly in the form of various excise levies. This allotment of retail sale liquor licenses is an annual affair. Tenders were invited for the grant of L-2/L-14A licenses in the form of licensing units for the Excise Policy, 2017-2018. Resulting, 53 vends out of 77 were allotted successfully. Against the reserve price of 138.98 crores, bids have been received for Rs 170.86 crores giving an increase of 23%. Nearly 170.86 crores has been achieved against the target of 202 crores.
