A review meeting with CBSE for PISA preparedness

Chandigarh.16 July,2020:A virtual on-line review meeting was held with Sh. Manoj Ahuja, IAS, Chairperson –CBSE, Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, Director (Academics) and Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director (Training & Skill Education) on 16th July 2020. In Chandigarh, the meeting was chaired by Sh. Manoj Parida, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator along with Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary Education, Sh. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, Director School Education and Sh. S. S. Dahiya, Director, SCERT. A brief presentation was made by Director (Academics), CBSE regarding the status of PISA preparedness of UT Chandigarh. He shared the details of board results, assessment of CCT tests and a sample survey of schools of Chandigarh. Chandigarh, 15th July, 2020: Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, Sh. VP Singh Badnore today presided over Daily War Room meeting.   The meeting was attended by Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser, UT, Chandigarh and Sh. Sanjay Beniwal, Director General of Police at Raj Bhawan. The Administrator also interacted with Sh. Arun Gupta, Principal Secretary (Home), Sh. World population Day (WPD) celebrated in the City Beautiful

Chandigarh, 10th July 2020: Health Department, UT Chandigarh is celebrating World population Day (WPD) in the city beautiful. 11th July is observed throughout the world as "World Population Day" to focus on the need for population stabilization. The WPD is divided into two parts i.e. Mobilization Fortnight (Dampatti Sampark Pakhwada) from 27th June to 10th July and the other part is Population Fortnight (Jansankhya Sthirita Pakhwada) from 11th to 24th July. It may be called as Parivar Vikas Mela fortnight.
