Chandigarh, 26 th  April, 2018: CTU Buses are an integral part of the city’s beautiful outlook that anyone can hardly ignore. In its endeavour of giving more clean buses to commuters, CTU put into operation new fully automatic washing plant with two lanes today in Depot 2 in order to augment the capacity for washing of its local and intercity buses fleet. The newly installed plants were inaugurated by Sh. B.L Sharma, IAS, Secretary Transport, Sh. Amit Talwar, PCS, Director Transport and other CTU officials were also present on the occasion. These new plants have state of the art computerized numerical controlled washing features and will help the undertaking to wash 300 of its Intercity and local buses of Depot 1 and Depot 2 on daily basis. Earlier with the old single plant which was more than 28 years old, buses were being washed on alternate day as the capacity of earlier plant was half of the new Capacity.

The Malaria Wing of Health Department, UT-Chandigarh organized the World Malaria Day-2018. Chandigarh, 24 th  April, 2018:  The Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court has taken suo-moto notice on the issue of safety of women (including Sikh Women) while driving or riding two wheelers of any class or description and exemption given to them from wearing headgear under the Motor Vehicle Rules, in CWP No. 27609 of 2017 (Court on its own Motion Vs.
