National Immunization Day

Chandigarh, 1 st   April, 2017:   National Immunization Day (NID) Pulse Polio Campaign April round is scheduled from 2nd to 4th April 2017. 460 booths are set up to cover children in the age group of 0-5 Years. The children, who are left on day 1 i.e. on 2nd April in 2017, will be covered by House to House Activities on 2nd & 3rd Day. According to Dr. Rakesh Kashyap, Director Health Services, U.T Chandigarh, a total of 929 teams comprising of more than 2,000 volunteers from NSS, Health department, Police department, department of Social Welfare along with Transport department are working tirelessly to make this campaign successful. Advertisement in the leading newspapers, Radio Jingles & appeal to the general public on air including SMS alerts are being used to create Mass Awareness among the parents of the children in this age group. Distribution of nutritious food in the Anganwadi Centers

Chandigarh, 1st April 2017 : As per the guidelines of Govt. of India, State/UTs were requested to initiate dialogue with Jail Department to explore the feasibility/possibility for preparation and distribution of nutrition food for distribution in the Anganwadi Centers for the beneficiaries of ICDS. The matter was taken up with the Inspector General of Prisons, Model Jail, Chandigarh. Now the food cooked by the inmates of Burail Jail is being distributed to 100 Anganwadi centers to start with. Excise Policy for the financial year 2017-18

Chandigarh, 30 th March 2017: It is for the information of all the Stakeholders and General Public that the Chandigarh Administration has approved the Excise Policy for the financial year 2017-18 (commencing from 07.04.2017 to 31.03.2018). With regard to the allotment of retail sale liquor licenses (L-2/L-14A), it is mentioned that there will be in total 77 Licensing Unit of retail sale liquor licenses across the entire city. The total quota of IMFL will be 74.25 lac proof liters and for country liquor, it will be 8.25 lac proof liters, and for IMFL and country liquor, it will be 82.50 lac proof liters. The total reserve price for all these groups is 202.55 crores. There will be marginal increase in extra license fee of Indian Made Foreign Liquor, Imported Foreign Liquor and Country Liquor alongwith increase in license fee of various liquor licenses. Demand Survey under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna – “Housing for All” (Urban)

  Chandigarh, 28th March, 2017:  Chandigarh Housing Board has started the process of conducting Demand Survey under Pradhan MantriAwasYojna – “Housing for All” (Urban).  The Scheme for EWS, LIG, MIG-I & MIG-II, living in urban area of Chandigarh are eligible for credit linked subsidy and affordable flats in Chandigarh. The households living in urban area of Chandigarh are eligible to submit demand survey forms for affordable housing in partnership & individual house enhancement provided that they are residents of Chandigarh as on 17.6.2015 having Aadhaar Card/Voter Card and having no house/residential plot anywhere in India.  In order to facilitate the intending applicants,under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna – “Housing for All” (Urban), all the e-Sampark Centres, e-kiosk Sampark Centres and e-Gram Sampark Centres will receive the demand survey forms, on a payment of Rs.20/- only.
