Hence, this year the ministry is encouraging people to practice yoga at their homes, with participation from the entire family. Chandigarh, 18th June 2020: Due to lockdown, some of the migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons are stranded at Chandigarh. For smooth movement of these persons, the Chandigarh Administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure comfortable and safe journey through Shramik Special Trains. Two Holding Centres have been set up at Chandigarh College of Engineering Technology (CCET) in Sector-26 where the persons are medically examined and provided packed lunch. Thereafter they are sent to Railway Station through buses. The stranded persons were allowed from 1st May 2020 onwards to register for movement either through Helpline or website of the Chandigarh Administration. A Help Desk has also been set up to receive calls from Migrant Labourers for moving out of Chandigarh. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC RELATIONS CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION PRESS RELEASE Chandigarh.16 June,2020: The Department of Social Welfare, Chandigarh Administration, distributed Take Home Ration in the form of Nutritious Weaning Food and Besan  Panjiri, at the doorstep of approx. 22,586 beneficiaries i.e, Children between the age of 06 months to 06 years, Pregnant Women, Nursing Mothers and Adolescent Girls,today. In addition to the Nutritious dry ration, eggs, bananas and milk were also distributed to the beneficiaries of 53 Anganwadi Centres i.e. Mouli village , Daria, Kishangarh,Sarangpur, Dhanas, KhudaLahora, Khuda Jassu, Khuda Ali Sher, Kaimwala, Behlana, Makhanmajra, Raipur Khurd and Raipur Kalan. Shashank Anand, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Security & Traffic has been deputed by Chandigarh Administration as Nodal Officer for Chandigarh residents returning from abroad under the Vande Bharat Mission.   As per the Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) issued by Chandigarh Administration, all foreign returnees have to, immediately on arrival, undergo seven days of mandatory institutional quarantine at an approved facility on payment basis followed by further seven days of home isolation, in case the person tests negative for Covid-19 during the first seven days of arrival. Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights Meeting

Chandigarh.12 th June,2020: A meeting of the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) held today. The meeting was presided over by Sh. Yashpal Garg, IAS, Chairperson CCPCR. Dr. Monica M. Singh, Ms. Pooja Punchhi and Sh. Varun Beniwal members of the Commission were present.   Ms. Navjot Kaur, PCS, Secretary CCPCR was also present in the meeting.
