Chandigarh Administration Geared up for Chandigarh Skill Test 2018

Chandigarh, 14th March 2018:  Chandigarh Administration is all geared up organising Chandigarh Skill Test 2018. National Immunization Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindagi Ki’

Chandigarh, 13th March 2018:  104291 no of children got immunized during the three day National Immunization Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindagi Ki’ in UT Chandigarh conducted from 11th – 13th  March, 2018. The coverage is 4055 Children more than the second NID round of Pulse Polio carried out last year. The enhanced coverage is owing to the Night vigil i.e Taare Zameen Par being implemented during which 351 no of children have beem vaccinated in the night hours in different parts of the city like railway station, bus stands, streets, showroom corridors etc. Pulse Polio Campaign is being done  Nationwide to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 years with Oral Polio Drops. Policy framed to provide Financial Assistance to the Pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

Chandigarh 12th March 2018: The  Administrator UT Chandigarh is pleased to frame a scheme to provide financial assistance to the Pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.  The scheme is called as the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2018 that will commence with effect of 2018 and financial assistance will be provided to ten those applicants who will complete the Yatra after this date. Financial assistance shall be provided to maximum ten number of Pilgrims who are bonafide residents of Chandigarh and have completed the Yatra through Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The financial assistance will be provided upto the extent of Rs 25000 or fifty percent of the actual expenditure per person whichever is less. Dedicated Widows Cell Constituted

Chandigarh, 12th March 2018:   The first meeting of Dedicated Widows Cell constituted as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India was held in the office of Secretary, District legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh.  Being Chairperson of the Dedicated Widows Cell, Secretary, District legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh proposed to identify all important and relevant Welfare Schemes so that a compilation in that regard could be prepared along with collective data base of the widow's as well as the numbers and particulars of her children, if any. Tatkal facility for various services of CHB

Chandigarh, 12th March 2018:  The Chandigarh Housing Board has provided the Tatkal facility for various services of CHB. Under this scheme, the cases of applicants are processed on priority basis. In order to bring further transparency,  the Tatkal Section is now putting up the cases  to the competent authority within 3 days from the date of receipt of application, after completion of all the required formalities. The Chandigarh Housing Board as of date, i.e. 12 th  March, 2018 has provided Tatkal service to Two thousand eight applicants of various categories and earned a sum of Rs.7.028crores as detailed below: S. National Immunization Day – Polio Round

Chandigarh, March 11, 2018:  42,603 children were immunized on day one of Pulse Polio Campaign under National Immunization Day. 460 booths were setup by the Health Department in the whole city apart from deploying 13 teams at Transit points. 100 Sector Supervisors monitored the booth activity for which 920 teams of vaccinators were deployed from 9:00 am to 4 pm. The monitoring was done under the supervision of Director Health & Family Welfare Dr. G. Dewan and other officials.  Special emphasis was laid in the Urban slums/colonies/villages for ensuring that no child is left unimmunized in order to achieve 100% immunization during the 3-day campaign.  The door to door activity will be done on March 12 and March 13 to ensure that all children are covered for Polio drops that could not avail the same during the booth activity. Chandigarh 10th March 2018:  It has come to the notice of Chandigarh Housing Board that some unscrupulous elements are misguiding the General Public/Applicants under PMAY in regard to submission of documents and posing them as Govt. authorized agents/representatives. Such elements are asking the applicants under PMAY to get their declarations/other documents attested from the Notary etc. though CHB has asked for submission of self attested documents only along with the declaration enclosed with the CHB letter. It is clarified to the General Public/Applicants that CHB has sought the declaration signed by the applicant along with other documents to be enclosed mentioned therein.
