The “ KUMBH” on HIV/AIDS Concludes

Chandigarh, 16th February, 2019: The two day National Conference AIDSCON-8 towards AIDS Free World concluded successfully today. The Conference was organized by Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society. Mrs. Lippi Parida, wife of Adviser to Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh and Dr. G. Dewan, DHS, Chandigarh Administration gave away awards to the best performing workers implementing the National AIDS Control Programme in Chandigarh. During this Conference a total of 10 technical sessions were conducted which included IEC & mainstreaming, blood safety, clinical CME, Newer Strategies, Revamping and Re-Strategizing Targeted Intervention Programme, Psychosocial Issues Syndemics, Reaching the 3rd 90 of 90-90-90, and Second Generation Prevention and Care. More than 70 experts made their presentations and participated in panel discussions. National Conference with the goal of “AIDS Free World” was launched today at Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 15th February, 2019: The National Conference with the goal of “AIDS Free World” was launched today by the Sh. Manoj Parida, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator in the presence of Principal Secretary Health, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS and Joint Secretary Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Govt. of India New Delhi. The Conference AIDSCON-8 is being organized by Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society in the IMA Complex Sector 35, Chandigarh for two days, 15th & 16th February 2019. The Conference was attended by a huge gathering of more than 400 participants. Representatives from Global Partners, WHO, UNAIDS, FHI 360, PHFI, HIV/AIDS Alliance and Senior Officers from NACO were also present. Administrator’s Advisory Council meeting held today at Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 15 th February, 2019: The 5 th meeting of the Administrator’s Advisory Council was held today under the chairmanship of Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T Chandigarh at Hotel Mount view, Chandigarh. Out of the 10 Standing Committees, 6 standing committees have already placed their recommendations in the previous advisory council meetings. The Chairmen of the remaining 4 Standing Committees on Environment, Health, Urban Planning & Heritage Preservation and Transportation made presentations of the recommendations of the respective committees, which were discussed at length by the council. Adviser to the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh Sh. Manoj Parida, IAS visits the Government Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (GRIID), sector-31, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 14th February, 2019: The Adviser to the Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh Sh. Manoj Parida, IAS along with senior officers of Chandigarh Administration today visited the Government Rehabilitation Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (GRIID), sector-31, Chandigarh, which is a premier institution in North India. During the visit, Sh. Parida interacted with the children with special needs, doctors attending to these children, and reviewed the educational and vocational training like book-binding, handmade paper making, Carpentry, Pottery, Masala grinding and candle & chair recaning being imparted to these children with intellectual disabilities at the Institute. JBTs recruitment process

Chandigarh, 13th February, 2019: Samagra Shiksha, Chandigarh advertised 418 posts of JBTs in the month October, 2018. 21,578 candidates applied for these posts. As part of recruitment process a Written Test was held on 27.01.2019 at 43 Examination Centres in schools/colleges of UT, Chandigarh, in which 11,686 candidates appeared for the written test. The test was conducted by NITTTR, Sector-26, Chandigarh, since the complete work related to the recruitment of JBTs under Samagra Shiksha, Chandigarh has been assigned to NITTTR. Result of written test of 11686 candidates who appeared for the test has been declared and uploaded on the website of NITTTR i.e. www.recruit.nitttrchd.ac.in. The process of verification of documents of the candidates as per the merit list under various categories will be done shortly. Notice of the schedule of document verification and other details pertaining to the document verification process will also be uploaded on the website of the NITTTR. 

Draft proposal of Reciprocal Transport Agreement between U.T., Chandigarh and Uttrakhand State

Chandigarh, 12 th  February, 2019:  In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (5) of Section 88 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, the draft of the proposal of Reciprocal Transport Agreement between U.T., Chandigarh and Uttrakhand State was published on 15.11.2019 for inviting objections/suggestions thereon from all persons likely to be affected, before expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this public Notice, so that a final view may be take on the issue. Mandip Singh Brar, I.A.S., District Magistrate, Chandigarh that during the festival period, noise pollution caused by bursting/usage of fire crackers and Chinese/imported crackers is likely to create annoyance and cause injury to the health of general public and that there is a need to prevent the same by restricting the bursting/usage of fire crackers and other fire-works, within Chandigarh.
