Demand Survey for Car Parking in place of Cycle Sheds in Sector-40C, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 30 th July 2017: On persistent demand from the residents of EWS/LIG houses of Sector-40C, and in the interest of public service  for construction of car parking in place of existing 288 cycle sheds (out of which a majority  are lying vacant) in Sector-40C, Chandigarh,  the Board has decided to conduct a demand survey.  Therefore, all the residents of EWS/LIG Housing Scheme Sector-40C are requested to submit their request in the prescribed Performa/application along with ‘Registration Money’ of Rs.10,000/- to enable CHB to take a  final decision on the issue. i)            The Performa /application form can also be down loaded from the CHB website i.e. www.chbonline.com or obtained from CHB Reception office Block-‘C’ CHB Office Complex, Sector-9, Chandigarh. ii)          The consideration money already taken from the owners of Cycles/Scooter Sheds shall be refunded.  I...

Special Drive to be Conducted to Enroll Left Out Electors

Chandigarh, 30 th  June 2017:  It is for the information of the Political Parties and General Public of Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency that Election Commission of India, New Delhi has directed to conduct a Special drive to enroll left out electors giving focus on the age group of 18-21 years. This department is conducting a door to door survey w.e.f 1 st  July, 2017 to 31 st  July, 2017 through the Booth Level Officers, who will visit each and every house in the area allotted to them. All residents are requested to give full cooperation to B.L.O’s as and when they come for verification to their residence with the Electoral Rolls. 

SPCA goes Round the Clock

Chandigarh, 30 th  June 2017:  First of its own kind the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (A Govt. Infirmary), Chandigarh has taken initiative to start 24x7 services for sick and injured stray animals in Chandigarh. Due to increasing numbers of sick and injured stray animals in U.T., Chandigarh and taking into consideration demand of Animal Lover and Animal Welfare Organization, it has been decided by Shri. Ajit Balaji Joshi, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh-cum-President SPCA to extend the  working hours of Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (A Govt. International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Observed by Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society

Chandigarh, 30 th  June 2017:  Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society had organized a State Level function to observe International Day against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking on 30th June 2017 in Rural Health Training Centre, Sector -56, Chandigarh. The Chief Guest, Kaustubh Sharma, IPS, Zonal Director/NCB, Zonal Unit/Chandigarh along with, Sh. S.K. Verma IPS (retd), Former DGP, Punjab & Member Director, NGO SOSVA, and Sh. Showing Respect to National Anthem under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act

Chandigarh, 27 th June, 2017: As per the orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court, the following guidelines are prescribed for persons with disabilities as defined under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 for showing respect to the National Anthem:- (i) The persons with locomotor disabilities and other wheel chair users having effected lower limbs shall position himself / herself to the extent of maximum attentiveness and alertness with or without the help of appropriate aids and appliances. For Example a wheel chair bound person with disability shall make the wheel chair static, position himself/herself maintaining the maximum possible alertness physically. (ii) If the person with disability is on crutch, he/she become stable (non-mobile) to the extent of maximum alertness. (iii) The person with hearing disability (deaf or hard of hearing) if capable to stand, shall stand with attentiveness. Chandigarh 26 th June 2017: “U.T. Chandigarh Skill Development Mission” was formally launched in Chandigarh today with the release of its logo by Shri V.P. Singh Badnore, Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh and Shri Rajiv Partap Rudy, Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India in the presence of Shri Parimal Rai, Adviser to Administrator, Shri Anurag Agarwal, Home Secretary-cum-Secretary Technical Education , Shri.
