“Order 144 to prevent bursting of firecrackers and Chinese/imported crackers or other fireworks within the Territorial jurisdiction of Chandigarh"

Chandigarh, 14th June, 2019:  It has been made to appear to Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, I.A.S., District Magistrate, Chandigarh that there is use/bursting of firecrackers or other fireworks by the pubic/persons which causes noise/air pollution and is likely to create annoyance and injury to the health of general public and there is a need to prevent the user bursting of firecrackers and Chinese/imported crackers or other fireworks within the Territorial jurisdiction of Chandigarh.                 Sh. “World blood donor day celebrated at Govt Multi Specialty Hospital Sector 16, Chandigarh"

Chandigarh, 14th June, 2019: World blood donor day  is celebrated each year on 14th June to thank voluntary non-remunerated blood donors for their life saving gift of blood and to raise the awareness of the need for regular blood donation to ensure quality, safety and availability of blood and blood products for the patients in need. Voluntary blood donors are the cornerstone for safe blood so healthy donors practicing safe habits are the need of the hour. “YOGADHARA-Explore Yourself with Yoga” organized at Govt. College of Yoga Education & Health Chandigarh

College of Yoga Education & Health Sector 23-A, Chandigarh organized a two day workshop and seminar  “YOGADHARA-Explore Yourself with Yoga”  on June 13 th  & 14 th , 2019 as part of celebrations of the upcoming 5 th  International Day of Yoga. Meeting held to review the status of bore-wells/tube-wells in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 12th June, 2019 : A meeting was convened by the Deputy Commissioner, UT, Chandigarh to review whether there are any open bore-wells/tube-wells in Chandigarh, to take preventive measures and also put in place a mechanism to ensure regular checking. Permissions in Chandigarh are granted primarily by Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, Engineering Department, UT, Chandigarh and LAO Office. The Deputy Commissioner asked all three to submit information about the bore-wells allowed by them in a prescribed format. They were asked to ensure corrective action in case there was any negligence. Further, Chief Engineer, Municipal Corporation and Chief Engineer, UT were also asked to survey entire Chandigarh to check if there were any open bore-wells/tube-wells. Online Admission Portal of Govt Industrial Training Institutes Launched

Chandigarh, 12 th  June 2019:  An online  Admissions portal of  Govt Industrial Training Institutes  ( http://www.itichdadmission.edu.in/ ) was launched by  Director Technical Education, UT Chandigarh Sh. Sachin Rana, IAS and Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, Secretary (Sports & Establishment) at Govt. Industrial Training Institute for Women, Sector 11, Chandigarh . This portal is an effort of Directorate of Technical Education, UT Chandigarh to facilitate the admission seekers to apply in the trades of ITIs for the upcoming session. The provisions of helpdesk and Grievances Cell have been also provided at GITI, Sector 28, Chandigarh and GITIW, Sector 11, Chandigarh to resolve the queries of students.  Sh. Sachin Rana , IAS , DTE explained that being a part of 100 day plan, the portal was designed, tested and launched within a short span of time to provide extensive information to the students at one platform.

Chandigarh Housing Board to begin Cancellation of Small Flats if dues are not paid

Chandigarh, 12 th June 2019: Chandigarh Housing Board will start cancellation of Small Flats of those who fail to deposit their pending dues during the ongoing camps. The camps are being held till 16.06.2019 (Sunday) between 08:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. including Saturdays and Sundays in all the respective colonies where the small flats are located. Hence the allottees of Small Flats have only four more days to deposit their dues to avoid cancellation. Accordingly cancellation notices have already been issued to many allottees and rest of the notices will being issued shortly. The cancellation will start from Monday i.e. 17.06.2019. Since the allottees of Small Flats were not depositing the dues, despite many efforts in past, pending dues of rent has reached to more than Rs. 20 crores. Awarding of Commendation Certificate on the eve of Independence Day 2019

Chandigarh, 12th June, 2019:  Chandigarh Administration, on the recommendations of committee meant for grant of commendations certificate on the occasion of Republic/Independence Day has decided that all the recommendations for the award of Commendation Certificate will be entertained online at  http://chandigarh.gov.in You are accordingly requested to forward the names of such persons (non–officials) online at  http://chandigarh.gov.in  for the award to Commendation Certificate. While recommending the names of  non-officials  for award of commendation certificate, it may be kept in view that the recommendation/citations may be supported by attested copies of documents. It may please be noted that no recommendation will be entertained after 31.07.2019 .
