Chandigarh Housing Board Conducts Field Survey of Residential/Commercial Units

Chandigarh, 4 th  Nov, 2016:    The Chandigarh Housing Board has constructed about 64000 residential units and about 4400 commercial units till date. A ground/field survey of all the residential/commercial units constructed by CHB has been conducted by considering the need based changes allowed till date. The physical survey was conducted for external violations and for encroachments as well as misuse of premises only. However, in case of residential/commercial units having any additional storeys/encroachments on Government land, the internal violations for such units has also been noted down. The survey of all the residential/commercial units has been completed. The data is now being compiled. Till the compilation of information of the said field/ground survey all notices, to all allotees under various sections, at all levels, shall be kept in abeyance until further orders. No fresh notices shall be issued during this period and all hearings shall be deferred. ...

State Legal Services Authority Organizes Exhibition and Painting Contest at District Court Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 4 th  November, 2016 : As part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the District Courts, Chandigarh, an on the spot painting contest for students of Legal Literacy Clubs of Chandigarh and an exhibition of their posters was organized by State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh today at District Courts Complex, Sector-43, Chandigarh. The exhibition was inaugurated by Hon'ble Justice Surya Kant, Judge, High Court of Punjab and Haryana and Executive Chairman, State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh. It was the finals of the painting competition as the Preliminary Competition was conducted by the respective schools at their own level under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority, Chandigarh. Preventive Activities by Health Department

Chandigarh, 4 th  November, 2016 :  Today 11 cases of Dengue have been reported from various health institutions (which brings the total number of Dengue cases to 770 in the city. 8 cases of Chickungunya have been reported today out of which 6 are from Chandigarh and 2 were wrong addresses. The overall details of 189 cases of Chickungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 45 imported, 45 wrong address and 99 from Chandigarh. To further strengthen the preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out alongwith strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources. Voluntary Blood Donation Camp organized at District Court, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 3 Nov, 2016:   To mark the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the District Courts, Chandigarh, a Voluntary blood donation camp and eye camp was organized at District Courts Chandigarh today. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Advisor to Administrator, Chandigarh inaugurated the function and Hon’ble Justice M Jeyapaul was the Guest of Honor. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Advisor to Administrator, Chandigarh, Sh. TS Luthra, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Chandigarh, Sh. Balbir Singh, District Sessions Judge, Chandigarh, Sh. Sunil Toni, President DBA, Chandigarh along with other Judiciary officials donated blood at this camp. During this camp, 192 people donated blood and many vowed to donate their organs.   In order to avoid inconvenience to litigants, the court timings of District Court, Chandigarh have been changed from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM to 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM for 5 th  November.
