Administrator’s Advisory Council

Aadhaar Based Birth Registration Starts in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 29 th  June, 2016 : Aadhaar based Birth Registration has been started in Chandigarh with effect from 28 th  June 2016. Tablets and Authentication Devices have been provided to all the Government Hospitals for Aadhaar registration of new born children along with Birth Registration Certification. On the first day, 26 Aadhaar and Birth Registrations have been done. Union Territory of Chandigarh has become the second State after Haryana to start Aadhaar Linked Birth Registration. Private Hospitals will be starting the Aadhaar Registrations on the same grounds shortly.

Anti Malaria Month

Chandigarh, 29 th  June, 2016 :  As a preparatory activity for control of Malaria and Dengue in the coming season the Malaria wing of Health Department, UT-Chandigarh today organized Health Awareness camp/ advocacy workshop at Vill. Khuda Ali Sher.     The awareness camp was attended by Dr. Inderpal Singh-Epidemiologist, Dr. Tanvi Behal (Medical Officer I/c civil dispensary Vill. Khuda Ali Sher), and staff from the Malaria wing, opinion leaders and general public from the area. Dr. Inderpal Singh stressed on active community participation at all levels to prevent occurrence of mosquitogenic situation in the area. He outlined the preventive steps for this purpose and assured continuance of anti larval and anti adult measures for mosquitoes with full zeal in the season. State Orientation Programme on Track Child Portal

Chandigarh, 27 th June, 2016: The State Child Protection Society (SCPS) under Union Territory Child Protection Society (UTCPS) under the aegis of Department of Social Welfare, Chandigarh Administration in collaboration with National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Women and Child Development organized a one Day State Orientation Programme on Track Child Portal at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Public Administration, Sector 26, Chandigarh for stakeholders in child protection namely Child welfare committee, Juvenile justice board, Special juvenile Police Unit, District child protection society and staff of child care institutions. World Population Stabilization Month

Chandigarh, 27 th June, 2016: Government of India is celebrating World Population Stabilization Month w.e.f 27 th June 2016 to 24 th July 2016. The month long activities are split into two fortnights i.e. 24 th June till 10 th July as  World Population Awareness Generation  And Mobilization Fortnight and  11 th July To 27 th   July As Service Delivery Fortnight For Family Planning .Likewise U.T .
