Public Grievance Camp

Chandigarh, March 04, 2016: In a Public Camp held today for residents of Sector-20, 21, 29, 30 & 31 at community centre sector-29 Chandigarh under the chairmanship of Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS,  Deputy Commissioner, UT, Chandigarh, issues of law and order, extra coverage, illegal activities in the sectors, sanitation and sewage were heard and resolved. Smt. Tapasya, IAS, SDM East, Chandigarh, Sunil Dutt , SHO concerned, Sh. Satish Kumar Kainth, Area Counsellor, and representatives of Municipal committees were present during the camp. An overwhelming enthusiasm was seen in the residents for getting a chance of directly putting their problems in front of the administration. A total of 16 requests/complaints were received and people were assured that once their complaints are verified, the administration would go to any length to provide them the best they can. Sh. Inspection Of Ultrasound Centers Under PC & PNDT Act

Chandigarh, March 04, 2016:-  On the directions of  Dr. Tapasya Raghav, IAS, SDM(E), on 03.03.2016 a team consisting of Dr Vandana Bhatia, CD, Mauli Jagran, Chd, Dr Vandana Jamneja, Police Hospital, Chandigarh has conducted a surprise inspection of Ultrasound centres under PC&PNDT in New Diagnostic Centre, SCO-64, Sec-20  C, Chandigarh and has found discrepancies viz. In case of Arti W/o Sarabjit, # 1758, Phase-2, Ramdarbar USG done on 22.01.2016 signatures of Dr Inderjit Singh was not found on Form F and in case of ultrasound of Kiran W/o Manoj, #235, Block-C, Col No-4, Ultrasound was done on 28.01.2016 without any referral from doctor, Mrs Kiran W/o Manoj already have two female children. The team has also inspected Jindal Clinics, SCO-21, Sec-20 D, Chandigarh but no discrepancy has been found in the centre. Inspection of three clinics with ultrasound facility

Chandigarh, 4 th March, 2016: Ms. Kriti Garg, IAS, Sub Divisional Magistrate (South), Chandigarh with a team of Doctors, inspected the three clinics with ultrasound facility, one in Sector 21 and two centers in Sector 19, Chandigarh. The inspection was carried out under the PCPNDT Act. No major violation was found during the inspection, although a few minor issues such as display of certificates etc on the spot were pointed out. The concern doctors have assured to compliance in 24 hours. It is also informed that the inspection drive will continue in the upcoming days.

Issuance of Occupation and Completion Certificates to the different Cooperative House Building Societies

Chandigarh, March 03, 2016:-  In view of decision taken by Sh. Sarvjit Singh, IAS, Finance Secretary-cum-Chief Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh in the meeting held with Sh. Prince Dhawan, IAS, Sub Divisional Magaistrate (Central)-cum-Assistant Estate Officer, U.T., Chandigarh, and officials from the Department of Cooperative Societies, U.T. and Building Branch of Estate Office, U.T., it has been decided to issue the Occupation and Completion Certificates to the different Cooperative House Building Societies in Sectors 48, 49, 50 and 51, Chandigarh after relaxing and charging the necessary compounding fee, as per rules, on minor violations made by the different House Building Societies in the above said Sectors.

All the residents and residents welfare associations of sector-20,21,29,30 and 31 are requested to participate in the aforesaid camp for redressal of their grievances. 

Inquiry into the Custodial Death of under trail prisoner

Chandigarh, 2nd March, 2016:  An Inquiry into the Custodial Death of under trail prisoner Deep Chand S/o Badri Parshad on 11.05.2011 who was lodged in Model Jail, U.T., Chandigarh ,is been conducted by the Sub Divisional Magistrate (South), U.T., Chandigarh, Smt. Kriti Garg, IAS. Any person concerned who would like to throw light into the circumstances of death of the said under-trail prisoner can appear in the court of Sub Divisional Magistrate (South), Hockey Stadium, Sports Complex, Sector-42, Chandigarh on or before 09.03.2016.

Jaspal Bhatti Humor Festival

Chandigarh, 02 March, 2016: India’s most loved humorist , Padma Bhushan Jaspal Bhatti’s vision is alive and kicking. The Chandigarh Administration is celebrating the contribution made by Sh. Bhatti by organizing a ‘Jaspal Bhatti Humor Festival’ this year coinciding with the celebrated humorist’s birthday this year, which falls on 3rd March.  Addressing the press, Sh. 3rd Public Camp

Chandigarh, 02 March, 2016:  3 rd Public Camp organized by   Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, UT, Chandigarh   for hearing the complaints /grievances of residents of the Sector(s) 20, 21, 29, 30, 31 is going to be held on  04.02.2016  at Community Centre Sector-29, Chandigarh from  10:30 AM to 12:30 PM .   Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, has scheduled the public camp, wherein the concerned SDM, SHO and other staff as per the requirements shall accompany the Deputy Commissioner.    The residents of mentioned sectors can bring forth their grievances of Law and Order, Property Issues, Senior Citizen Issues, Public Distribution System, etc.

Clarification on waiving off condition of lock-in-period (5 years) for General Self Financing Housing Scheme Sector-63, Chandigarh.  It was clarified that in order to give relief to all the allottees, the decision to waive off the condition of Lock-in-period is applicable in all type of transfer cases of dwelling units allotted by the Chandigarh Housing Board.  2. Release of Subsidy for the month of March--2016

Chandigarh, 01 March, 2016: The Department of Food & Supplies and Consumer Affairs & Legal Metrology, U. T., Chandigarh has implemented the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Scheme for foodgrains from the month of September, 2015. The subsidy amount upto the month of March, 2016 has been released to the eligible households through their Aadhar seeded bank accounts, as per the entitlements. Presently, a total of 43,273 households with 1,88,137 units (43,182 Priority Households and 91 AAY households) have been covered. Those eligible households who have any queries related to transfer of subsidy amount into their Aadhar seeded bank accounts can either visit their respective banks or can also check Aadhar linkage with their bank account by dialing *99*99# from their mobile number. Conference To Discuss Problems of Lands, Roles and Responsibilities of Nambardaars

Chandigarh, 29 th  February, 2016:-   Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, I.A.S,  Deputy Commissioner, U.T, Chandigarh, chaired  a conference today in his office to discuss the problems related to lands, roles and responsibilities of Nambardaars.  Tehsildars, Patwaris and Nambardaars  of Chandigarh region were present during the Conference. During the conference, issues related to Land Acquisitions, Periphery act were put forward. In addition to this, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, I.A.S, laid emphasis on working hand in hand for the smooth functioning. Budget for the financial year 2016-2017

Chandigarh, 29 th  February, 2016:-  Chandigarh has been given Rs.700 cr. against last year’s Rs.634 cr final figures under the Plan Head and Rs.2834.54 cr against last year’s Rs.2586.22 cr under Non Plan head. Both are roughly 110% of last year’s final figures. Breakup (Plan/ Non Plan) is Education 172/543, Transport 63/204, Housing and Urban Dev 214/614, Health 135/215, and Energy Non Plan 26/752. Administration will be able to maintain the pace of development with this budget with thrust on Education, Health and Transport. Administration had projected a plan of Rs.2095 cr on account of a larger share for the Municipal Corporation to the tune of Rs. 660 cr. as per recommendations of Delhi Finance Commission and a wish list of major Projects like Expansion of the High Court, Flats for Police and Secretariat Building. We will spend the money efficiently and seek more funds when the exercise of revision of estimates takes place in October.

Affixation of High Security Registration Plates

Chandigarh, 29 th February, 2016: It is for the information of general public/residents of Chandigarh that the Registering & Licensing Authority, U.T., Chandigarh has started process for affixing of High Security Registration Plates on vehicles already registered in UT, Chandigarh at three notified locations i.e. the offices of R&LA, Sector-17, SDM(S), Sector-42, SDM(E), Industrial Area, Phase-I, Chandigarh. The owners of the vehicle having registration number of “CH03-R” series shall apply for affixation of HSRP at their respective offices with the request on plain paper mentioning the detail of Chassis Number, Engine Number, Make, Model, copy of Registration Certificate of the vehicle, copy of valid insurance and copy of Identity Card of the owner within one month from the date of 01.03.2016.  The original Registration Certificate (RC) is mandatory at the time of applying for the same. Inspection of Roller Flour Mills

Chandigarh, 29 th February, 2016: As per the action plan prepared by Dr. Rajinder K. Sharma, Designated Officer Incharge Food Safety Administration, Chandigarh Health Department, Chandigarh, a joint team of Food Safety Officers Sh. Bharat Kanojia & Sh. Surinder Pal Singh today inspected the Roller Flour Mills operating in the area of Chandigarh. All the Roller Flour Mills were inspected and three samples of Atta & Maida were taken for analysis & examination.  The Food Business Operators were instructed to adhere to the norms of Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 and Rules, 2011.
