Second Day of Chandigarh Yoga Festival

Chandigarh, 10th June, 2016:  Second Day of Chandigarh Yoga Festival started with a Symposium on “Yoga for Good ” held at CII, Chandigarh today. Hon’ble Governor Haryana & Punjab and Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Prominent amongst others were Sh. Public Notice

Chandigarh, 10th June, 2016:   ‘Registration of death and the issue of a death certificate’ is required for the proof of death as per the provisions of The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969. However, it has come to notice that in some cases these certificates are not available or otherwise not in the possession of the applicants. In some cases, allottees or their legal heirs have died in foreign countries. On the persistent demand of the general public, in the interest of public service and to facilitate the delivery of services to the general public, it is hereby ordered that in such cases, the applicants should submit separate affidavits of two separate persons. These two persons may be relatives of the deceased or persons who knew the deceased. The applicants shall also submit specific indemnity bonds in this respect.

Submission of Plans for Additions and Alterations in Dwelling Units

Chandigarh, 10th June, 2016:    Allottees of all CHB dwelling units, who have already made additions and alterations in their respective dwelling units which are not as per the standard designs, are hereby allowed to submit their plans to Chandigarh Housing Board for approval of the said additions/alterations alongwith Structural design and duly stamped certificate of structural stability by a Registered Structural Engineer subject to the following conditions:- 1.      The proposal does not exceed 70% ground coverage and FAR of 2.0 and shall also be conforming to the byelaws applicable to the houses allotted by the Estate Officer, UT, Chandigarh. 2.      Mutual consent of all allottees i.e. ground floor, first floor, second floor, third floor etc. of the block and also of the adjoining floor having a common wall.  For the purpose of this, a block is defined as all the dwelling units which are accessed by the common stairca...

Transfer of Commercial & Residential Properties under Tatkal Service

Chandigarh, 10th June, 2016:  Chandigarh Housing Board hereby clarifies that the time period prescribed for transfer of Residential Units under Tatkal Service is five working days including the day of application. The time period prescribed for transfer of Commercial Properties under Tatkal Service is seven working days, including the day of application. The transfer letter for Residential Units and Commercial Properties will be issued unconditionally under Tatkal Scheme within five days and Seven days respectively. In case of transfer applications where publication notice is required to be given in the newspapers, the same will be published to invite objections from the general public within the time period specified in the Citizens’ Charter. Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan

Chandigarh, 10th June, 2016:   India has made considerable progress over the years in the sector of health. Different initiatives for S afe Motherhood have been found to be effective for addressing the maternal health issues.  In view of this, Government of India has decided to launch “Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan”(PMSMA), a fixed day strategy, every month across the country during which a range of quality maternal health services are envisaged to be provided as part of Antenatal Care. Under the campaign, a minimum package of antenatal care services is to be provided to the beneficiaries on the 9th day of every month at the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Clinics to ensure that every pregnant woman receives at least one checkup in the 2nd/ 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Health Awareness Camp/ Advocacy Workshop Held At Village Burail

Chandigarh, 8 th June, 2016: As a preparatory activity for control of Malaria and Dengue in the coming season the Malaria wing of Health Department, UT-Chandigarh today organized Health Awareness camp/ advocacy workshop at Village Burail.             The awareness camp was attended by Dr. Inderpal Singh-Epidemiologist, Dr. Navneet Kanwar (Medical Officer I/c CH-45), staff from the Malaria wing, opinion leaders and general public from the area.           Dr. Inderpal Singh stressed on active community participation at all levels to prevent occurrence of mosquitogenic situation in the area. He outlined the preventive steps for this purpose and assured continuance of anti larval and anti adult measures for mosquitoes with full zeal in the season. He also urged all to maintain vigil over the water borne diseases in the area.

Orientation Workshop Organized By Labour Department

Chandigarh, 7th June, 2016:  The Governor Haryana, Punjab and Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh, H.E. Kaptan Singh Solanki unveiled the Mascot for Chandigarh Yoga Festival today at Punjab Raj Bhawan, U.T., Chandigarh. The Chandigarh Yoga Festival will be held from 9 th June 2016 till 12 th June 2016 in Chandigarh. The Mascot is the State Animal of Chandigarh- Indian Grey Mangoose and is named Yogi. Registration Process for Haemophilia patients

Chandigarh, 7 th June, 2016: Govt Medical College & Hospital, sector-32, Chandigarh has started the registration process for Haemophilia patients. These patients shall submit a photocopy of the OPD card with prescription, completed Haemophilia Registration Form (available in the Haemophilia clinic), document of residence proof (Voter Card, Aadhar Card, Driving licence/telephone bill/electricity bill) & two recent photographs to Nodal officer in the Medicine OPD, Room No. 5303, Level 5, Block-B, GMCH-32, Chandigarh on every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12:30 Noon. 

Social Welfare, Women and Child Welfare Department Organizes Education Trip for Children of Snehalaya

Chandigarh, 7th June, 2016:    Social Welfare, Women and Child Welfare Department sent 69 children (38 Girls & 29 boys) from Snehalaya (A unit of Chandigarh Child and Women Development Corporation Ltd.) for the education trip to Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala along with the staff on 29 May 2016 & 06 June 2016. Children visited Shahed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Museum, Khatkar Kalian , Gurudwara Baba Janta Ram (Balachore) and Gurudwars Shri Tibii Shahib (Ropar). They enjoyed all the sections especially the planetarium, 3-D Show, Laser Show, Evolution of Man, slide in a simulator & bird section. Both the trips were very informative for children as they learnt a lot about science and importance of historical/religious places..

Chandigarh Yoga Festival to be held from 9th-12th June, 2016

Chandigarh, 7th June, 2016: As a curtain raiser for the grand event of “2nd International Day of Yoga” to be held in Chandigarh on 21st June, 2016 the Chandigarh Administration is organising a 4 day Yoga Festival. The Yoga Festival will witness a series of national and international level events, which would revolve around Yoga, its history, importance and evolution.
