Transfer of Commercial & Residential Properties under Tatkal Service

Chandigarh, 10th June, 2016:  Chandigarh Housing Board hereby clarifies that the time period prescribed for transfer of Residential Units under Tatkal Service is five working days including the day of application. The time period prescribed for transfer of Commercial Properties under Tatkal Service is seven working days, including the day of application. The transfer letter for Residential Units and Commercial Properties will be issued unconditionally under Tatkal Scheme within five days and Seven days respectively.

In case of transfer applications where publication notice is required to be given in the newspapers, the same will be published to invite objections from the general public within the time period specified in the Citizens’ Charter. If anybody raises any objections in respect of transfer of the allotment of the dwelling unit, then transfer will be considered on provisional basis and notice will be sent to the transferee to explain his/her position and action will be initiated as per Regulations of Chandigarh Housing Board (Allotment, Management and Sale of Tenements) Regulations, 1979.

Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) intends to reduce the prescribed period for transfer of Residential Properties under Tatkal Scheme to three(3) working days and the period for transfer of Commercial Properties, under the aforesaid Tatkal Scheme, to five (5) working days.
