Pulse Polio Campaign- Do Boond Zindagi Ki

Chandigarh, 30^th January, 2018: 107755 children got immunized during the three day National Immunization Day round Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ in Chandigarh from 28th – 30th January, 2018 to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 years with Oral Polio Drops are successfully completed today.

The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. Special emphasis was laid upon the high risk/vulnerable areas.

Houses will be covered in coming days to track the unimmunized children. The monitoring & supervision was done at various levels by the internal supervisors & external monitors.

An initiative was taken by Health Department to paste the stickers of Immunization Schedule during door to door activity in high priority areas from where there is tendency of dropouts to ensure that each house is covered under the campaign and the sticker will remind the parents about immunization schedule of their children.
