Chandigarh to sensitize about the new initiatives of the MoEF & CC under ENVIS , District Level Meeting Held

Chandigarh, 24th July, 2019:  A District Level Meeting under the Chairmanship of Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh to sensitize about the new initiatives of the MoEF & CC under ENVIS (Environmental Information System) was organized at the office of Deputy Commissioner.
A brief introduction about the ENVIS Scheme was given by the representatives of ENVIS.  Further, a detailed power point presentation on new initiatives of ENVIS Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP), Grid Based Decision Support System (GRIDSS), and Building Community Driven Environmentally Sustainable Villages (CESVP) was given.
Deputy Commissioner suggested all present departments especially Education Department to give their views on various topics on which courses can be conducted in Chandigarh and explore the possibilities of how the scheme can be extended to maximum no of people.  He further assured his full cooperation with ENVIS Hub and provide all the available relevant data to the ENVIS.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
