France agrees to Advisers request to study restoration of Le Corbusier Heritage

Chandigarh, 31st December 2019.On the request of Sh.Manoj Parida, IAS,Adviser to the Administrator, the Government of France has agreed to send an expert appraisal mission to study the restoration of Le Corbusier heritage in Chandigarh. In a written communication sent by Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador Of France to Manoj Parida, Adviser to Administrator, the dates for this mission have been indicated. The Experts from the National School of Architecture of Paris –Belleville, the Le Corbusier Foundation and the Laboratoire de Recherche des Monuments Historiques (LRMH)   will visit Chandigarh from 3rd to 9th February. They will be accompanied by representatives   of the Embassy of France in India. The preliminary diagnosis that the experts will provide following their mission will serve as basis for recommendations and technical assistance for further restoration of the heritage sites convened. 'Glorious Passages'- An Odissi dance performance enthralls art & music connoisseurs

  Chandigarh, 29th December 2019:The connoisseurs of art and music were in for a visual treat today at the Tagore Theatre with the grand presentation of 'Glorious Passages', An Odissi dance performance. Today's performance was organized by the Aurodhan Art Gallery, Puducherry and Lalit Verma in association with Department of Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh Administration with Sutra Foundation, Malaysia.
