Implementation of Smart City Proposal

Chandigarh, 28 January, 2016: The Chandigarh Administration with the active cooperation and involvement of citizens of Chandigarh had prepared the Smart City Proposal and submitted it to the Government of India, Ministry of Urban Development for approval.  The Administration is committed for immediate implementation of this project, keeping in view the fact that the Chandigarh is poised to develop it as top class smart city.
                   It has been informed by the Government of India, Ministry of Urban Development that the proposal of Chandigarh Administration has been accepted by the Ministry and has been given a very high rating.  The Chandigarh Administration will start receiving the grant from Government of India for implementation of Smart City proposal from April, 2016.  The video conference of Chandigarh Administration with Cabinet Secretary, Government of India and Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India is scheduled in this regard on 29th January, 2016.  The Administration will start taking steps from now itself for ensuring that the implementation is started in April, 2016 and the grant money received from Government of India is utilized. 
                   Chandigarh Administration is very thankful to the citizens for their active role in preparation of Smart City proposal and expects that citizens will also take similar active role during the implementation of the proposal.

Public Camp Chandigarh, 28 January, 2016 :-  It is for the information of the general public that the public camp for 29/01/2016 is to be held at community centre of Sector 45. The sectors covered in the camp would be Sector 44, 45 including burial Village, 46 and 33 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM.
